We're off to see A Good Day to Die Hard tonight, paid for with Tesco coupons. How romantic!
OH was just getting up to make me breakfast in bed when the person coming to sort the mould/damp turned up

I got a card from DH, and also some strawberry shortbread hearts (from Tesco - I love shortbread) for my morning coffee, so I am happy.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Boyfriend flew in late last night, he came over and we exchanged cards and gifts early this morning and then had the mother of all fights about something so stupid, I can't even remember what started it, so he's sulked back off to his brothers place and I've decided to go and get my hair cut:undecided
Happy Valentines Day :rotfl:

I hope he can cheer up enough to enjoy dinner at least - poor thing.
That is awful, I hope you are able to make him feel better, awful0 -
How awful nottoobadyet, I hope he feels better soon.
I've bought OH aftershave, its just tradition now that I buy him new aftershave on Valentine's day. He's away just now so he'll get it when he gets home. We don't do anything else really, some years we go out for a meal round about this time of year, but its more of an excuse to eat out than a grand show of love for each other.
Then I go to Tesco the day after and buy all the half price chocolates :beer:0 -

And the roses, in morries there was a bunch for £45:eek: if OH bought them there would be a valentine's day row:rotfl: but I have been known to lurk about and get them a few days later for no more than a fiver, love yellow stickers, mother's day is the same, all the flowers in the baskets, I still have mine from last year that I bought for £2 rather than the £12 they wanted originally:D
I much prefer a pot plant, lasts longer;)0 -
My OH got woken up at 3am to the sound of me being sick...think I've managed to come down with a sickness bug so no romantic valentine's day here this year. I think I might be allergic to valentine's day because I was ill last year too
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
I quite enjoy Valentine's Day. Not because OH and I make a massive fuss but because it brings so many grumpy people out of the woodwork.
Never understood why the vehement anti brigade get into such a froth about it.0 -
We had booked a table to go out for a meal this evening, but having looked at our bank balances we are pretty skint and I didn't want to spend so much when we still have over a week left until payday! We'd go if we had the money but not to be.
So this morning I went to M&S and bought their £20 meal deal and I am actually more excited about that than I was about going out! Might be something to do with the fact that we've saved £60 just by not going for the meal out. I'm getting hooked on money saving :rotfl:0
