    Where is that quote from? As thats not something thats on my letter? Is that maybe something on a different region? maybe different letters to different parts of the country say different things?

    So basically I will be sent a DLA form not a PIP form later this year then? Even though my DLA is until 18th Nov 2013? and on the letter they sent me it says;

    "If your existing Disability living allowance is due to end or reviewed on or after 7th Oct 2013 and you have not already received a renewal letter about your disability living allowance then you will be asked to make a claim for Personal INdependant Living allowance. We will write to you in plenty of time if you need to take any action."

    I phoned up the DLA DWP and ask them the same question and they told me they did not know if I will be sent a PIP form or a DLA form yet.

    Thanks all again....
    The highlighted bit in red is the important bit. Based on the information the DWP have s far released, the current DLA process remains in place. Therefore they should send out the renewal letter approx 20 weeks before the end date of the claim, as per the current process that is in place.

    That quote is from the DWPs own impact assessment issued in December 2012. As per the link posted.
    As it stands you are due to receive a DLA form approx 20 weeks before the end date of your claim.
    That is the standard proceedure. Approx 20 weeks before your claim ends the send out the renewal pack. This gives you plenty of time to get the form completed, gather any evidence, and witness statements, get your form submitted, and for the DWP to review the form, request information from your GP/specialist, and make a decision before the end date of the existing award.

    That just shows that even the staff at the DWP don't know what the situation is.

    At this time, unless the rules change, you will be issued a DLA form. As per the guidance I have issued.

    They start the reassessment period 20 weeks before the end date of your claim. If that is before 7 October, you will get a DLA form, with the option to 'self select' to claim PIP.
