PMSL @ 3 for 2 on mudguards :rotfl: Brilliant! :rotfl:
I'd also just like to say thank you for the irrelevant chit chat on here which has helped spur me on to THREE exercise milestones/personal bests in the last 5 days
I'll be taking a break tomorrow as I have a hospy appointment, but I plan to cycle there and back (22km round trip), unless it's truly bucketing down.0 -

Hi Sara.
they reckon 2 lbs per week is the most you should aim to lose. Any more than this and your losing muscle. Bear in mind that you will lose more in the first few weeks, but a lot of this will be water weight.
Also, in 8 weeks you should see decent returns from your resistance exercise. So in 10 - 12 weeks you could be well on the way to your ultimate goal.
I've been exercising moderately and cut out all snacks and eating tons of salads and baked potatos (tried this approach last time I lost weight - losing 3 stone)... done this for 2 weeks now and nothing, scales firmly fixed in the same place... :S0 -
I always find cutting carbs right down helps.. :undecided
Also, make sure you are drinking plenty of water or sugar free drinks..
If you want to pop a list up of what you ate yesterday or today we could have a look?BSC Member 155

Ok GGyou asked for it...todays as I can't remember much of yesterday (long story, no alcohol or drugs involved though)...
Muesli - Semi skimmed milk
grilled fish, veg and baked potato
and soon to be a chicken salad for dinner
have drunk about 3 pints of water so far today... although admittedly I'm not very good at drinking enough..working on it though0 -

Well, that seems more than good enough reallyhmmm.. could it be that you arn't eating enough? I know, seems silly doesn't it, but your body may be hanging onto everything it has incase there is a famine going on.
Maybe try and eat fruit as snacks, yoghurts? Just something to add more food to your diet, but in a healthy way.
I'm rubbish at drinking water tooBSC Member 155

Try upping the exercise duration/intensity. Also as G-G says maybe have a bit of fruit between meals. Add resistance work if you haven't already - This will rev up your metabolism all day every day.
Think of it as a lifestyle change rather than a diet. Any little helps. By this I mean, if you drive to work and it's 5 mins each way, start to cycle there. Leave your lunch at home and cycle back at dinner time. This would 20 mins cycling to your daily routine. I know you may not live 5 mins from work but there has to be similar-type examples you could apply to your own situation.
I'm away to watch a DVD - I'll catch up with you lot in the 'morrow..>'til then!John
