Happened to me a few days ago. Phone rang, I answered and could hear one side of a conversation describing someone as a furking twot. Charming.0

I'm in Birmingham and this has happened to me twice over the past few days. Both times I was mid conversation when the voice changed from my husband's to that of a womans. Could cause all sorts of trouble! You could tell it was a crossed line as it sounded distant but really bad news for o2.0

O2 are really being caught out lately due to their lack of investment in their own network infrastructure.0

Does this also apply to GiffGaff?
(It's an O2 MVNO.)0 -
This happened to me over a year ago on several occasions. I could hear other peoples conversations when connected and when people tried to ring me they could hear other people and not me and I couldnt hear anything. I complained to o2, they sent out several new sim cards to try and resolve the problem. in the end it went away and I havent had any issues since.0

I tried calling my work mate on saturday evening (i'm o2, he is vodaphone). The phone didn't ring and straight away i was listening to someone speak with a northern accent. I figured from what was said that the call wasn't related to my mate so i hung up. I thought it was so strange as i thought there were 2 independent conversations taking place. What makes it even stranger is that my mate let me listen to the voicemail that he received from me at the same time. The message was the voice of a northern female, happily chatting away, mid conversation. Quite scary if this happens so easily0

I posted a similar sentiment previously, I think O2 are just trying to get to the 4G LTE rollout without investing anymore into the old network in a bid to save money. Whether they will make the next 6-8 months without a serious fault manifesting on the network remains to be seen.Does this also apply to GiffGaff?

Yes, reported on GiffGaff and Tesco as well.====0
