Lexilex I get the impression that it will turn up again unless you choose to release the task so you should be ok. I'm probably going to have a similar problem.0

It turned up again for me after I aquired it but didn't complete it. I was hoping to do some actual work before learning yet another thing0 -
I had that exam when I first started, I didn't get any work for the first week just that on my page. I had problems with it appearing and disappearing, but I managed to submit it in the end. I don't think I passed it as I never heard anything.£100 - £10,0000

If you're talking about the 'Local Certification Project' email, I got that a couple of days ago and the Tasks showed up in my queue under the title 'Certification' next time I logged in so I went ahead and did them all straight away (there were 10, plus a quick multiple choice exam to start with).
There's another set of instructions to read which takes 30-60 minutes or so whixch you can't bill for but the time spent on the quick quiz exam and the actual tasks themselves is billable so well worth a go (not sure that this was the case with similar 'certification' tasks at LB!).
On a related note, has anyone downloaded the Mobile App and done any of the 'special' tasks on their smartphone? I suffer from 'fat finger syndrome', so if a lot of quick typing is required may not be the best idea for me

I thought preparing for and working on certification tasks was unbillable?0

Hi, Phil - when I was with LB I did the same certification exam you're talking about, and to this day don't know if I ever passed, despite several emails from me to various parts of the organisation. Even if I had passed, I didn't ever see that kind of task again so wouldn't have ever qualifed for the extra money that was on offer from them.
(You might want to amend your post to remove the specifics because of the NDA.)
Can't help on the mobile front: mine came out of the Ark - and it was Noah's spare!
I'm looking for a bit of advice on invoicing, because I can't find any firm guidance on the LF website. I understand the 'one line per session' but I'm not clear on whether I'm setting it out correctly For example, if the type of tasks I've been doing are 'Eggs' I've been putting down 12 x Eggs even if 6 of them were brown and 6 were white. Should I be showing that as 6 x Eggs (brown), 6x Eggs (white)? Or can I just continue to put the total number of Eggs?0 -

If I start work at 10am and finish at 10:26 I put that on one line with a generic description ("rater tasks" or summat similar) regardless of whether that is 4 brown eggs followed by 3 white eggs or 7 white eggs or 4 brown eggs followed by 3 apples. I make no distinction between the tasks at all or even mention number of tasks. It obviously is okay because my invoice was approved but I know other people have broken it down and mentioned type/number of tasks as well.0 -
Thanks for that, caitchbee.0

I always write the task number in brackets after my very brief description (I would write 'eggs(8)' but not mention colour) mainly for my benefit so I can keep a track of roughly how many I do for productivity requirements.£100 - £10,0000

I think this was the case with LB (which is why I never did any of them!) but it states in the email from LF that they will pay for the actual exam, but obviously not the reading.
I've just finally got the it done anyway.
As for invoices I had just been putting the general task name and then a start time and end time. I've been using rater aide since all my invoice problems last month though and that automatically saves information about task type. Now I've been writing it as Task Type (amount), Task Type 2 (amount) and start time, end time.0
