Only just started about a week ago, for the first 3 days I got a maximum of about 35 minutes a day, then getting about 3-4 hours a day for the next several days. Now I'm sitting here at 5am having woken up early and not able to get back to sleep thinking I may as well do a couple of hours work and guess what? NRT! #annoying

On the recording of tasks and times, RaterAide counts down the time per task and displays the overall time spent per Session, so if I go over the AET on one I try to finish the next one slightly under and 'bank' some Surplus Time as a cushion for future tasks so that over the session I end up taking roughly the amount of time they'd expect me to.

I'm not sure I entirely see the point of adjusting your timesheet down so that you bill for less time than you took to do something because the toolbar will still record how long you actually take on each task and if you're 'slow' it will still record you as slow and you'll potentially get poor feedback.

If you take a long time, you're still entitled to be paid for that long time, even if you should have been quicker. Whatever you put on your timesheet LF will still know you took a long time and should be paying you accordingly, though they will expect you to get quicker. I've read no statement from them that they will only pay up to the AET per task, though obviously as a new starter I've yet to submit an invoice so I don't know how 'awkward' they are about such things.

Hello just wondered if someone could point me in the right direction for the rateraid. I'm sure I saw the link in this thread but can't find it now. For those people who like me were waiting ages to be able to start work it is definitely worth sending more than 1 email. Think I sent 3 or 4 over 2 weeks before I finally got a response.

Hiya, as a new rater you are allowed to be slower than the expected for a certain % and a certain number of weeks (its on the website). I took this to also mean that once these weeks are over, you are not allowed to be slower.

Has anybody received an email about doing an exam for a different project?

I was in the middle of the exam and returned to the NRT page. I think this is because of the silly cap they have on my work at the minute

I was expecting it to appear as 'Exam' or something like that in my queue but it was just under a normal task name.

I hope they will let me carry on where I left off, don't want to have wasted my time!
