Hey
Any LF'ers use a laptop for work? If so, can you recommend a good one? Have a desktop PC but looking to get a laptop for times when I'm feeling too lazy or cold :-)0 -
What's your budget?

Thank you. Sorry, I should have said, budget around £300-£400
The one you posted looks nice - will check it out further. Just after something that is relatively fast.0 -

I just use my laptop. Its about 4 years old and cost me under £400 so I am sure anything half decent you buy will be fine.
I have this one (discontinued now) so you can see the spec http://www.toshiba.co.uk/discontinued-products/satellite-l655d-13q/
You can probably get something much better now for under £400, like the one oneflewover posted.0 -

I was recommended it by someone that knows their stuff, so it should be a good one.

As you can see, has 4.5/5 star ratings across the colour range, and most comments mention its speed and lightness.0 -
Oooooh purple! My laptop needs to die right this second so I can buy that one! :rotfl:0

Oh my. I did not need to see a Purple laptop. I need that in my life.0

I have always done my rating on a laptop, just find it easier to be able to sit where ever I want-also means I can go somewhere quiet when the kids are around.
Finally got around to downloading the rater app for my phone now its seems they are moving more and more work to the phone. Will have to sort out a notebook to keep paper notes for the mobile only completed tasks as can't see any other way to keep tracking those. Although did some tasks yesterday that said mobile required but they actually had the results online and you didn't actually need a phone to rate lol.
