Anyone had a payment email as yet? Was hoping for payment before Crimbo, but only had first two emails as yet, nothing from WU.

Because your IP/name/address will match the previous application and will likely throw up all sorts of problems and they would probably not progress either application any further because of it - if I were to hazard a guess.

GazStar - the hourly rate is more than NMW, how much you can potentially earn depends on work loads and how much time you can actually spend working. We cannot say much more due to the NDA.

The hourly rate is more than NMW but you also have to bear in mind that if you work for 8 hours a day, that is a full 8 hours you have spent rating and working non-stop. Compare that to an office job where on an 8 hour day you spend time in between working, going for coffee, chatting, browsing web etc; on some quiet days you could spend half that doing actual work.

Point I'm trying to make is 40 hours a week rating felt like 80 hours would in an office job. The hourly rate may seem generous, but they are definitely getting bang for their buck.

got laid off from LB yesterday after 11 months, gutted cos I really loved it and the extra cash was so handy. Applied for LF yesterday,do people get to know quite handy if they're through to the exam part?

I'm about to be in the same situation as you, I haven't applied yet but will do shortly. Good luck!

thanks ! I was so disappointed, and they only gave me a days notice :-( am I right in thinking that you can work longer than a year for Leapforce?

They gave you a day's notice?!

I haven't properly looked into LF yet so I'm afraid I don't know how long you can work for them. Did you have to state on your application that you had worked for LB?

Lots on this board have worked for LB previously, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Contracts are up for renewal after 6 months. A few here are coming up on their 2nd year.

I also worked for lionbridge and my 11 months ended in June. I applied to leapforce in July and never heard back from them. Reading this inspired me to log in again and my application still says its in progress!
I was put out at first as really wanted to work there as I know it is similar to lionbridge and I could do the job well. And I saw other people on here getting in after I applied. I did say Id worked for lionbridge on my application. I know in the past that didn't matter but I was starting to wonder if that had changed. But then I started working at appen and stopped paying attention to see if any previous LB workers were hired after id applied. I do hope that's not the case - as if anything goes wrong at appen id still like the option of at least taking the LF tests - so I hope you guys hear soon!

Hi, I've looked at appen but it states that you should be available to work 5 hours a day which I'm not sure I could manage.Do you have to do this amount of hours per day ?

When I applied I passed the general qualification and failed the one for the specific project...twice. I actually found it very frustrating and was also worried about the 5 day requirement as it was 4 hours a day between specific hours and I also have a full time job so it would have been tough as there was no flexibility. But didn't matter - as I failed anyway!

But about a month later they asked me to take the qualification for a different project. The one I work on has a set number of hours per week and you cant work more than 5 in a single day. But beyond that its flexible - so worked out so much better. After the initial qualification process I did NOT want to work there. But now I really like it. There are always tasks available, and so its much easier to plan when to work than it was with LB and the project manager always responds quickly to emails. Though, not much help to you, as I don't think you can apply directly to the project I work on.

When I initially did the qualification they did make it very clear that 4 hours were required 5 days a week (and before some time at night, cant remember exactly, which would mean that I couldnt have worked late at night). But I also think most the recruitment is to two slightly different projects, and I think the other doesn't specify specific hours, though still requires 4 per day
