Wondering if those of us with a delivery pass will get an email about this. Anyone had one yet? My delivery pass is about to go up from £6.99 a month to £10.99.0

I have the midweek Delivery Pass (managed to get it for £14.99 for 6mths just after Christmas!). I received an email yesterday saying they are combining the Delivery & Savings Pass, and were upgrading my membership.
" Dear Mr XXXXX,
Good news. We're replacing our Delivery and Saving Passes with one juicy new Smart Pass. As a loyal Delivery Pass customer, we’re upgrading you to Smart Pass for the remainder of your Delivery Pass membership – at no extra cost.
So, what are you waiting for? Make the most of your new Smart Pass today"0 -

Thanks for the info, I'm still waiting to hear something.0 -
Wonder how much more the new pass will be ?
I got the email and a wee bit concerned as our delivery pass is due for renewal in april (<2 months) and I searched to find pricing information and found it to be conspicuously absent.
I paid £99 last year for an anytime delivery pass. I don't really buy any branded goods except fairy and washing powder so wouldn't want to pay any extra for a smart pass.
I emailed Ocado to ask how much my renewal will cost and they just wrote back saying I'd receive an email 1month before letting me know the cost. Not the kind of customer service I've come to expect from Ocado at all, and in fact I find it a little sinister - like maybe they don't know themselves yet or are planning on charging different people different amounts....hmmm,0 -
I've had delivery pass for a few years. The first year it was £3.99 for anytime. The 2nd year they wanted £9.99 but I phoned and they offered me £6.99 so I took it, I only usually only need £40-50 once a week so it's a good price.
This year they wanted £10.99 (up from £6.99). I e-mailed them and pointed out that I was spending more, that fuel price was the same January '12 to January '13, and that the new hub in Staffordshire would actually make it cheaper for them to supply me. They phoned me up and offered 3 months free than 9 months at £6.99, "would I be happy with that". I was :-)
Now they've combined savings pass (no use for me) with delivery pass. No indication how much they want per year but it won't be less! The e-mail says I continue at my delivery pass rate of £6.99 and that my contract is until March 2013. I'm very happy with that.
However, of the 754 items in the delivery pass scheme I've only bought 12 before. None are regular items (one is dishwashing cleaning tablets), none are my preferred brand. There is 1 bottle of ale I've bought before but I only buy beer when it's on offer anyway. So I don't put any value in this addition to my delivery pass.0 -

They already do - you've paid £40 more than me for the same anytime delivery pass!0 -
Ocado has pretty sophisticated software.
Have a look at the Recommended to You bit and if you see anything you like, click on the description to get the full view. Then underneath the add to trolley bit there's and add to favourites button.
It does seem to me that the software offers things it thinks you Favourite and things it *thinks* you will like based on favourites and past purchases as special offers.
With the Savings Pass I thought 8.99 a year was worth spending to get 10% off organic veg boxes and Evian. There's not much else suitable for me in that section. I get offered umpteen variants of Ariel and seemingly every hair colour from Nice & Easy. :wall:
When surfing the Internet, I see moving banners from Ocado. These often show things I have bought and things to tempt me. Had to laugh when I was reading about the horsemeat scandal and a Warhorse DVD showed up.
It seems to me that the more I play with my favourites the more the offers suit me.0 -

I don't think I'd purchase a single one, virtually all seem to be commercial branded items crammed full of dubious chemicals. The only natural items I noticed were coffee, which I don't drink which is only healthy in moderation. Very much seems to be aimed at the generic family market - even trying to compete with Amazon's subscribe and save - not people who are choosing Ocado for the wider selection of natural or higher quality Waitrose food offerings.
Oh and the veg boxes are there, but if I had a free delivery pass I'd be less interested in a vat of vegetables, more interested in smaller amounts of really fresh stuff regularly, again it's much more aimed at the family market but I guess that is where the money is. If there was much other 'real food' I missed it, you can't sort the offers by department either.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
