I have a tv link on one of the tv's its a great job, never had any problems with it :)
It's fine for what it does.
However, I prefer HD pictures and the ability to watch different channels in the various rooms.
I fully realise I have to pay a premium to do this.
  • 2 Things. Ensure the £49 box to be a 2TB. Then you are getting your moneys worth. If you get this use it in your main room and shuffle the boxes,
The "free box" wont have any recording facilities anyway so get onto ebay for another SKY+HD box.
On the tarrif you could expect to pay £2.50 a month for each MR for the next 12 months discounted from £10.25.
    Good Luck.

Don't forget that each Sky + box needs two feeds from the dish. A standard quad LNB can support only two boxes, so an Octo LLB will be needed for 3 Sky boxes, I've no idea whether Sky installers have them on the van.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • Further to above the engineer will have Octos and probably have to upgrade your dish. Always a good time to get a new one if you get him a cup of tea nudge nudge.
Also forgot when he installs the free box make sure he actually fits a connector to the "spare cable" so when you get a fancy box you can just screw in feed 2.
Its not difficult to get the parts yourself but a pest if you do not realise at the time.

I might have to give the tv link a try again. Cheers
  • does anyone know of any multi room offers?
  • Sorry, have no idea about this
  • first post so apologies if going over old round....been Sky 20 yrs, 5 yrs HD, it infuriates me that the HD is just for the main telly, yes i know i could get another box, but im not paying more money to them, can someone update me if there a way round this?, or if Martin has lobbied Sky re HD for all connections. I guess practically a box is needed for each TV so in which case its the cost of that box thats the issue. Im single so i dont want multi channel viewing i just want HD in the kitchen and bedroom as well as the lounge....cheers all
