It was a change of circumstances mid term and would I presume have been recorded. I told them clearly what my job was and that there were 4 offices that I needed to move between. They did not mention refusing to cover me they told me to give them another occupation. It was a very long conversation as I maintained my occupation was customer service manager. The only alternative I was given was to describe my occupation as a different. I would have been happy to take that one to court with the transcript if they had tried to say I was lying to get round a decision not to cover me.0

If the Insurer have suggested you use a different job title that is entirely different than you choosing a different job title to obtain a lower premium.
Someone concealing their real occupation intentionally to save money on their premium would be handled as per the link I provided earlier0 -
The Co-op are another insurer who do not increase the premiums for unemployed people.
One thing. What you put down as 'job title' can affect the premium. I put down 'Factory worker' instead of 'machine operator' as it saved me £25 a year. I wasn't lying, I worked in a factory so it was truthfull.Never Knowingly Understood.

On that note, I put down Pharmaceutical Assistant on mine which saved over £100, rather than Shop assistant which put it UP about £100, and that was for part time! Main 'occupation' still listed as student. The Co-op are another insurer who do not increase the premiums for unemployed people.

My insurance was a whole £17 cheaper when I was unemployed (following having a baby) than when I went back to work.
I put myself down as a 'homemaker' rather than just 'unemployed'.0 -
As mentioned if you receive any payment like jobseekers or anything similar under another name then your not a homemaker your unemployed.
