Doe people seriously pay £4 for these :eek::eek: I am not close enough to an A to often do the APG thing, but I normally stock up on these when they are reduced in Lidl - normally £2.65 for a kilo, 80p knocked off so down to £2.85!!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
another lovely morning! just got some washing out and sorted a pile of stuff for the recycling centre. I love going there...Usually manage to come home with something useful.
Thanks TS and the original OP for the boots glitch. The wide awake kid was up at around 3.30, so I spotted this whilst I was waiting for him to get back to sleep. it was still in stock then, so ordered and will be :j:j if its honoured. Boots are usually good at honouring glitches.0 -

Oh dear it's a pest isn t it. One of my sons had his pinched in Tesco s and the other son only put his speakers in on the afternoon and they were stolen that night
One cheeky thief was busy trying to dismantle our double glazed window in our garage which had been converted to a bedroom. He was merrily putting the pieces round the window on the wall and was about to lift the glass out and luckily my son who works in Tesco ( well actually the both do ) was awake waiting to get up at about 4 in the morning hear the noise so got up to investigate and when the burglar saw him he shot off exactly like a thief in the night. lucky my son was there.
Then there was the time when I was up early one Saturday morning on my exercise bike and I happened to look out of the patio doors and saw a peepingtom watching me, just his face as he was on the floor hidden by a wall. I don't know who was the most afraid but he shot off too. there are other examples I could tell you but that ll do for now lol. Ps we don't live in a rough place either lol
omg where do you live? (sounds mental)0 -

Finished reading back now, just. Have to aodmit to being one of the bonfire brigade
Used to be able to put the garden stuff that won't compost into the dustbin but since the council have decided to introduce a green bin and charge for it I refuse to pay them to take away stuff that they have the facilities to compost and let them charge people for the compost too!!!! So I simply have a couple of bonfires a year (in an incinerator) to burn down all the stuff I need to and put the ashes on my grapevine. Managed to fit one in on Tuesday, no-one's washing was out, no kids playing out nearby, just a grumpy old neighbour who I see rarely but ALWAYS manages to appear when I have a fire!!!! Finally got rid of the Christmas tree anyway, rose prunings, fruit bush pruning etc anyway! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
