Wouldn't it be obvious if you bought them all? Only just catching up so can't go now as self scan would be too obvious!
Out of interest, what is the most DTD people have achieved from current rules and on what?
Many thanks
Anon
I used manned tills and would not do them all together. They are not neccessarily mispriced in all branches. Different shifts=different cs=different visits, ok you run the risk of missing out on one if someone else has seen the opportunity but that's the way it goes. It's perfectly plausible to buy a few joints (for example) when they are on a 'good' special offer - it's really not your fault that the sel/labelling is wrong. I'm sure that many people stock up when a product that they like is on a special offer.
Rule of thumb for me is ONLY get dtd products if you really like/use them. If there are a few opportunities for dtd in the same shop, decide in which order is/are the one/(s) that are 'best' for you ie some lamb or a mispriced bag of potatoes. It's not uncommon to buy (say) meat and toiletries in the same shop. It's not your fault that the sel/labelling is wrong on both.
A few years ago, when I first (:o) used to check my receipts I was shocked at how many times that I was overcharged. Once, I had bought 20 items and sixteen of those items were at a higher price than the sel/labels. It was not a targetted shop as that wasn't in my vocabulary in those days. As I had had a dtd the previous day on some meat, cs was quite vocal:eek: and there was a queue behind me at the time.I politely told her that 16 of the items were overcharged or to put it a better way - that's 80% of my shopping. Items ranged from meat, fish, toiletries and even cartons of baby milk. She had the decency to look shamefaced. When checking the sel, she asked if I knew that they were wrongly priced ( at the time it was r&r). Standing infront of the meat chiller cabinet, I just replied 'Have you decided what you are having for dinner tonight/tomorrow etc?', no she replied why? Decide and choose some meat, I told her. Looking at me as if I'd cracked, she said ok - chicken breasts, lamb chops and mincemeat. I told her to now check the sel/labels. After asking why as they were priced on the packaging (), she was shocked to see that all three were wrongly(over) priced.
Point taken, she apologised but all of those sel remained! This particular store is as lax today as it has always been. HTH

Thanks MKS
No just the lamb........bit of a chicken to do more than one at a time. Did choose the bigger of the two legs though
.......tomorrow and another store for the others maybe:D
That's a good way to do it - see my previous post. Do remember though if something is on a 'special offer' ie - lamb, it is on offer to encourage you to buy it. So one for now and one or two for the freezer.;)0 -
