  • Morning everyone :)

What a gorgeous sunny day out - though its blinking freezing with ground frost. Nice to look at though.

Off for a catch up with coffee in hand.

I envy you - thought everyone had to pay for green collections these days. The silly thing is they would get a lot more than just these bits off me if they collected for free, I struggle to get everything in my compost bin and have a couple of containers with things waiting to go into it - they would get all this and be able to sell the compost on! I am sure it would be better for them to do a green collection for free.

We don't get food waste bins though, although I do know people with pigs that occasionally get some from us :D

Glad I don't have to pay for green collection! I too struggle to compost everything. I have 3 big black composters. I can fill my green bin cutting half the lawn. I asked the council for another green bin and was told no. You're right though about the compost. The recycling centre here sells it and in the summer it looks like it sells really well.....so why not collect more stuff to make it??

    :j:j:j

My first 2 crates of wine just arrived, someone please pick me up off the floor. With next day delivery I paid just under £9 for 12 bottles, 75p each. Next ones will work out even cheaper as went for standard delivery and they are on their way too. :j:j:j

Wish more of you had been able to partake in that one and it had not gone straight out of stock. :(

Remember to check on M & S in the middle of the night guys, never know what you might find. ;)

I am convinced the theives have a gismo that mimics the radio frequency of our cars central locking, although the police say this is impossible. On 4 separate occasions we have had 3 cars opened (not broken into), glove box emptied & contents scattered all over the floor. Nothing taken, there is nothing to take, but we are all sure we locked the cars, and I believe they have been unlocked by a thief. Has anyone else had this?

I am certain they do. A while ago a tv programme had people opening cars by phone - they pressed the fob and broadcast it over the phone and the car opened - I am sure there must be an ap for that!

actually you might have something there. This is going to sound bonkers but it's true

A few years back my eldest son had a 'farting machine' ( don't ask:rotfl:) it was a unit that you hid behind a cushion or wherever and it was set off by a remote key fob thing. I had a ford escort at the time. And DS discovered by accident that the ford key could set off the farting machine. I can't remember ever trying it in reverse.....I will ask DS later because Im sure he would have tried it!

Ive just read that back and I sound mad....Im not, honest:D:rotfl:
  • Off topic, anybody know how many free coffees you get in ikea in one transaction with an ikea family card. Is it just one, or can I buy one for DH, DD & DS? Thanks x
