Happy Birthday Dusty

I cleaned the bathroom and toilet this morning, did some washing and dried it outside
Cleaned all the windows inside and the frames and WD40d the locks/hinges. This sun is lovely but it does show up the dirt.....
Went out for two walks today.0 -
You have done a lot today, mrs-mp :T
I ran to catch you up this morning and managed a bit of tidying inthe study, then twisted my knee (which has been playing me up for 2 or 3 days) and ever since have been hobbling around. Not good!
However, I have done a few things:
- put all the shelves back in the study that the OJM had removed
- labelled 5 new boxes and found spaces for them on the replaced shelves
- juggled everything else around to fill the spaces on one wall in the most logical way
- rehomed one sackful of brick-sized polystyrene blocks into a box that was half-empty
- arranged 3 appointments for tomorrow and one for Saturday
- booked an overnight stay in a B&B for DH and me tomorrow, so that we can get to the Saturday appointment on time
- written a couple of emails that were becoming urgent
- sent off 2 birthday cards: DH took them to the postbox for me :A
- answered all the OJM's questions about what I wanted doing and found odd bits of paint / lightbulbs / gate bolt etc for him
- swept the back yard where the OJM had left a mess of wood shavings after mending the gate - it's unlike him to be messy, but he's got a painful shoulder so is excused
- rang HMRC abut my tax code - it's wrong every year!
- rang somebody about collecting the compost from my bins for his allotment
Despite the sunshine, the flowers didn't get planted up today
Will hope to do that on Saturday or Sunday afternoon. My excuse is, that by leaving the hyacinths out in the sun I can now begin to see what colour they are going to be, so I can plant up matching pots :rotfl:
We're out this evening so I must get our meal ready at once, and we will be making an early start in the morning. OJM will finish all his jobs tomorrow while we're out, so the beginning of next week (when DH goes back to work) will be my chance to get everything straight again. It shouldn't take long, and hopefully by then I shall have sold a few more eB@y bits, so will have less to put away out of sight.
Congratulatory (((hugs))) to optimistic mummy and spoons as required, especially to The Dragon, LW and SB50 -

Evening all!
Well the tots had a short-ish nap, just over an hour, but DD looks tired again. They've had a later tea tonight, as they were playing (uncooked) pasta building sites and I made them pick up all the macaroni before tea (which was not macaroni
)
After tea they put away all the diggers and had a straighten up in the playroom assisted by moi. They are now holed up on the sofa under a blanket watching Harry Potter and supping milk. And I have a cuppa.
I've had soup this afternoon, and a little of my hm coleslaw, but my mouth is uncomfortable, so no more to eat for me today.
DW and WM both on. Just looked at DD and she's very nearly asleep, bless her. Hope she's not coming down with something. She's got a pink ballet skirt on and cuddling a toy cat. Little lamb.
I've got some cottage pie filling in the freezer so think I'll get that out for tomorrow. We have a friend coming in the morning, so we'll do a snack lunch, and pie for dinner.
After football on Saturday we are going to my aunts to see about booking our big family group holiday :T should be entertaining...Bossymoo

3 loads of laundry folded
dinner cooked and scoffed and the tiddlies both have ice cream cones
I have filled a wheelie bin today and half a recycle bin.
The girls have made small headway in their room and vaccuumed the bit of visible floor.. I'm heading in there tomorrow to sort clothes out which is always fun!
I think there are about 10 pairs of boots and shoes to get rid of too.
We are taking them to toys r us over the weekend to spend their christmas money from OH's mum and I'm trotting across to mothercare to book photos of the girls so we can give OH's mum some for her birthday at the end of March.
I'm off for a speedy shower while these 2 finish their ice cream and OH can get them in their pjs.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Good afternoon

I have been awol again
I have managed to do some paperwork this week. DH is still doing most of the housework/cooking :T
I have taken on a new 3 year old 2 afternoons a week
She could be quite a challenge! I have never known a 3 yo to argue so much (as in answering back!!) I dread to think what she will be like at 15!! I will soon have her getting in line
Had a bit of a scare today. My godmother apparently had a fall in the night. She was ok this morning, but after her daughter got out of the shower she found her slumped at the table!:eek: She called the paramedics, and they though she may have had a mini stroke
After checking her out at hospital, they said she had concussion and she is fine :j I was surprised she agreed to go in, as she has always said that if she goes to hospital she will not come out again
She is very frail (she is 103) She is back home now :j:j
DS has come home from school with an injured wrist
He hurt it in PE - badly banged his elbow and thinks he hit a nerve. I am not convinced, but he says he doesn't need to go to A&E. It is the same wrist he fractured when he was 3 (he is 14 now). We shall see how he gets on, and a visit to A&E hasn't been ruled out
Tonight I am going to tackle some more paperwork, but I am shattered. Worked over 10 hours yesterday, then went to a 2 hour meeting. No special plans for valentines in this house, although DH did make me a card
(we have no money, but lots of art & craft supplies!
) I may S&S the downstairs loo though. 0
