Oh dear. I'm feeling disheartened. I had all good intentions, I had already planned that when I moved into my house last week I would be on the flylady thread having a good crack at it. But I just feel so overwhelmed! This house is filthy and needs a really good going over. I've been ill this week so haven't managed to do that much. And I'm worried that on the weekend I wont get a chance to do it because hubby gets funny with me when I ask him to watch the baby.

:( It just feels like a mammoth task, and rather than cracking on and doing it, I've done diddly squat except for some vacuuming, and even that was rubbish because the vacuum we kept from when my Nan passed away just chucks the dust back out every 5 seconds. :( Motivation please?
  • start with level one each day fredula,
and see anything you achieve as a sucess.
try not to get disheartened by what gets missed concentrate more on what you manage to succeed with.

perhaps a new hoover would be a start if you can get one (try freecycle etc), or check the seals and the bag incase youcan improve it

Fredula, number one deep breath. Right forget today. Plan now tomorrow what needs doing absolutely the most and do that. We have all felt overwhelmed, you can't do it all at once (and you have a baby). You will get there, it will just take a little while.

Feeling a bit grim so going to lie on the sofa with a bit of tv for HH then head up to bed. See you all tomorrow.

I've ordered a dyson £80 off normal price, which is due to arrive next Wednesday, so I'm really looking forward to that.

I've wrote out tomorrows list on my pad of things to do and as tomorrow is masterbedroom stuff, I'm going to go up there now and tidy up a little bit in preparation. Then maybe it wont be so daughnting (I was sorting out the filing documents yesterday, and got really tired/felt ill so there's paperwork everywhere, as I didn't get round to finishing.)

It snowed for 7hours here and the roads became scarey. I had to take DS1 to doctors and my car skidded 6 times. Normal journey time is 7 mins far longer today. I was so pleased to get home.

Didn't find all my shopping list items still require 28 pairs of socks in particular sizes and colours. Also no new sparkly tap shoes were purchased. :(

Ground floor henried and cat carrier lent to friend.

    Dailies done and family fed.

Have just watched the film Hugo and really enjoyed it.

    Love to all x

Ps. Doctor said DS1 can go on his skiing trip on Saturday. Operation packing is back on.

Happy Birthday Dora & Rowan Tree

    Congrats Opto-mum :D

I have a huge list of jobs I want to do on the back of the livingroom door (used a roll of art paper so its massive!). Just about to stick some pics of the things I want to buy & costs of stuff on in another colour so I can see what I need to do, how things link together etc. :D So much easier to see than lots of individual pages in a notebook :rotfl:

    Monday - Kitchen
    Level Two
    Mop the floor
    Level Three
Clean any windows/glass/mirrors in this room
    HHI
    Extras
Send that email/message/phone call that you have been meaning to do for ages

Shrove Tuesday - Bathroom and study :D:D

Wednesday - Living Room, Hall & Stairs :D:D

Thursday - Master bedroom and Landing
    Level Two
    Wipe the skirting boards
    Level Three
Dust the lampshade and curtain pole
    Extras
    Eat cake

List is looking good. I'm off to finish this master list and I will potter tomorrow between work hours. ;)

    It will all come together..

You vacuumed for a start that is more than I did!!!

Give yourself a break .. and kick that hubby up the derriere it is his baby too so let him get huffy.. tell him he can watch the baby or clean.. which would he prefer? Or does he like his baby living in other peoples dirt? My OH gets an ear chewing about not wanting to watch the children but I don't care, he helped make them!

Just stick with us.. and level one .. if you get that done then look at level 2.. you can't get it all done in a week!! Would it help to target 1 room at a time?? Spend as much time as necessary until the 1 room is gleaming so it is just a case of keeping on top of it while you attack the next room.

I have been here years and still live in a skip. ;)

    Good morning ladies.

Happy birthday to my lovely friend Dusty Kitten. I hope you have a fabulous day xx.

    Congratulations Opto Mum.

I had a phone call last night from the scanner dept at the hospital. DS3 has been offered a cancellation so we are due there at 8.30.

I'm working after and must call in at Mr T. The fridge and cupboards are rather bare!
