Hi everyone, I didn't realise anyone was waiting for an update on this!:) Here's what happened
I contacted credit card company & got the ball rolling on a dispute
Items arrived a couple of weeks later than expected
I cancelled the dispute with cc co
7 items were missing from the order (5 out of stock & 2 just missing)
I returned 17 items, I needed 20 but 3 were out of stock
After 4 emails from me to 5pounds, I eventually got a reply saying they would refund 7 returned items!
Long story short, they refunded the 17 items (1 transaction for 7 items & 1 for 10 items) plus another transaction for 2 out of stock items.
However, I am still out of pocket for the 2 missing items :(
I suspect the problem is that this company are a little short staffed, not geared up for larger orders & not geared up for customer service issues.
Not a great first experience but the actual quality of the clothes was very good for the price paid.

  • I find if you buy a few items at a time then you have a good response, a lot of items and they kinda don't seem to know what to do

I've bought from there quite a few times without any problems but I agree, it is probably because it was a big order.

I'm sorry but this company is as legit as they come. I've been shopping with them for about 2 years now.
I think what happened in the OP's case was the very large order coupled with their maintenance problems.
I never had any problems with them, admittedly my orders have been quite small (3-4 items). And I always received a response to my emails. I do agree they might not have been prepared for a large volume of emails and calls in that period, and if their website was experiencing difficulties, then the emails might have never arrived.

There is a website where you can check what other people are thinking (so you don't assume I'm with the company) it's Trust Pilot - I'm not allowed to post links just yet.

    Legit as they come ?

They don't bother responding to emails or telephone calls and the OP is out of pocket.

    How's that legit ???

    Moron.
  • I used them a couple of times (postage was eye watering!).
Clothes were Ok and came reasonably quickly with the occasional bargain but most of the stuff is the same as you would get on any market stall.

Think the most I bought was about 5 items

I cannot believe whilst reading thru this thread about Everything Five Pounds.com (I buy regularly from them and too have had now problems incidentally) that you called somebody a moron for stating what their experience has been and their opinion. It's people like you that ruin this site. It seems more important to you to be right (as you see it) than to be reasonable and respectul. Sort yourself out please and stop ruining it for everyone else.

It's a common theme though ... people register with this site, and their first and only post is to praise a company who is getting negative comments. That doesn't strike you as suspicious? ;)
