That is horrendous. When I opened the link and noticed the babysitter was Russian, it reminded me of the cruel treatment towards a child that I witnessed whilst visiting Moscow years ago. There was a tiny child begging on the metro system, he couldn't have been more than three years old. He was approaching adults and all were stern with him and dismissive of his plight. Not one seemed concerned about him. He approached an older guy and this moron picked him up, smacked him and literally threw him aside. No one batted an eyelid, not one person. I tried to approach a lady who was working there but she began shouting at me and told me to go. I couldn't find anyone who would help

I hope this babysitter gets all that is coming to her for treating an innocent child so badly.

It's hard to understand why some people are not protective of the young.

I can understand some people not being 'parental' i.e they don't feel the need to procreate nor are they maternal/paternal, but to not feel any need generally to show care and in fact feel it's ok to cause harm to a little one that is clearly so dependant...well that's beyond my understanding.

I haven't clicked on the link because I don't think I could watch the video. When the Baby P case was in the news my little nephew was a baby at the time, and I just found it so unimaginably shocking that someone could inflict those injuries on a baby of that age. I hope this babysitter is jailed and doesn't just jump ship and go back to Russia.

It must be hard for parents who choose or need to use a babysitter, but hopefully incidences like this are rare A Syrian friend of mine told me she wouldn't leave her little boy in a nursery or with a childminder until he was old enough to talk and tell her what happened during the day.

We may not think we remember, but behaviour like this can affect how we view life and ourselves as we get older.

I wouldn't leave my 2 year old with anyone except close family and very close friends.

If I can't get either of the above, we don't go out. Simple.

Evil witch, hope she gets a good shoeing or 3 in prison.

If she is sent to a Russian prison it will be mighty grim. No cushy numbers in their prisons, which is exactly what she deserves.

I wonder if she has any remorse or understanding of how truly terrified that little kid must have been? To have someone so much bigger than you physically and emotionally out of control inflicting pain on you. Awww that poor little love. I hope they throw away the key on such an evil inadequate.

I'm another who can't bear to watch it. I can't understand why anyone would feel the need to hit a child never mind a defenceless 9 month old baby. Sick and twisted springs to mind.
