Blog updated. Sitting here wondering if the birds that I watch every morning dismantling the neighbours thatch for their nests are in fact Jackdaws and not Rooks. GAALLY! How do I tell them apart?

DD1 now has the bug. Poor thing.

I have just found a new life form evolving in the washing machine so it is currently getting a 95° wash with a baby sterilising tablet. Though there's not much less sterile than a baby.

Re the new life form: did you try to communicate with it? A 'recent' star trek had a one cell life form that flummoxed them all for nearly a whole programme...

Our local saddler is selling stirrup leathers for £80 the pair. £80!

DH bought some for 30 somewhere else and DD2 has done her first off-the-lead-rein hack on the Plops who was an ANGEL.

I have left her looking like a parcel in a fly rug and gimp mask.

No one is terrible at the moment though two of the children are a bit weak and watery. Its persisting down here.

It has dawned on me that our finances need to be in better shape if we are to move...

Al, also in the spirit of JFDI, can you recommend any resources that you consulted before starting a blog? I assume that you didn't just wake up and realise that you knew how to start one?

I read some stuff on MMM. I chose wordpress for ease of use and wordpress.org with self hosting which does mean a few quid a month for a site and a domain name (bluehost) but if you use wordpress.com which is free and hosted for you then I think they sort of own your content and its not possible for it one day to become money-generating?

I will put up a linky a bit later but DD2 is queuing up to see Plops.

Must be easy if I can do it (and all from a phone).
