2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning, 'read the ..... Manual'
Alchemilla, how's DH doing?
Well done on parents evening - I hate going to them even though the comments are positive. I'd rather have a detailed report by subject in a database which I can pull out - download from the cloud. I'm sure we could have more honesty and feedback by parents could be given as well.
If there are serious questions to raise, these would not wait until a parent evening.

Hi Tilly. I feel somewhat the same. Hard to have a meaningful conv in 5 min. Although...my kids were preening themselves this morning and grinning. Quite right. These ones are fab.

Sorry Tilly. DH is ok. Tired. Marking til later than he should. He breaks up soon though.
A bad food day and procrastination city here. Those books won't mark themselves!

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Hellooooo Watty. Lovely to see you.
Amazing weather today. Pay Day. Did the budget, claimed some more exam money.
NSD. This will be the last month of paying £660 childcare. Down to £400 from next month on. Woohoo!0 -
Excellent saving on the childcare. It will make a huge difference when it is all gone. XPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Oh yes!
In theory it could be £160 not £400 in Sept but it means breakfast and after school club for two smallest and I would rather they were with the grandparents.
One might ask why pay the 'rents over the odds, but there have been years when we could only afford childcare due to their help.
So not MSE but morally ok I think.0 -
DS sick in the night and so was I.
Pre school gets the blame as centre for infection!
The good news is I'm off my food. The bad news is I have a day's work at either home or school so I can't sit idle.
At least since I am home I can find out the latest scores on the doors!0
