Go for it! You are a person not a figure on the scale and if they are daft enough to judge you on the weight then it really isn't the dream job/school/place you think it is. Go be the person we all know you are. (if you don't get it ask for feedback so you get it next time)
Like everyone else has said it is the things we don't do that we regret xxMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
I have said I will be at the interview...0

Good for you2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Well done Alchemilla, absolutely the right decision. Interviews are two way, it's as much for you to find out about the role and if it's right for you as it is for them to meet you and see how you would fit in. Best of luck xMortgage Apr 18 £417,894 BTL Mar 18 £162,857

Great stuff :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
Mortgage Balance = £0

First things first, everybody always thinks they're fatter than they are!
Your weight does not make a blind bit of difference to how well you perform a job unless it has a direct bearing on the job. As teaching does not involve shinnying up trees, you will not be running to seek aid against invading Persians and you do not need to fit through narrow gaps to rewire offices, you will be fine
You are very thoughtful to think of your daughter. Let's be honest, children are horrible little !!!!!! to each other and there is every chance that your DD may be teased ever. She would be teased regardless, her mother might be a teacher.
It will blow over, but there would be no harm in using the possibility of the new job to spur yourself on to healthy weight loss that would benefit you in many areas of your life
What I would advise against would be actually teaching her class. I experienced this and it made an already awkward teenage school experience somewhat worse. Unfortunately we were in a bit of a negative feedback loop - my mother teaching in a job she hated to keep her children in a private school (that I hated!) So, avoid that if at all practical.
Your family loves you Al and we collectively have a lot of confidence in your abilities, go get 'em! :T0
