When selling I filled my car to the brim with kid stuff - nappies toys etc and hid it at a neighbours. I took the kids out. I was also watering a neighbours plants when they arrived and said how we all helped each other. Just coincidental maybe?

Great tip EG. Lots of exciting things happening for you at the moment Al, good luck for your interview and the viewing. I am wondering if ballet would help dd be less clumsy and slightly less bouncy and whirlwind like!

oooh - fabulous news about the interview :) xx

House staging - I removed lots of things from the children's rooms - boxed them into the attic and said they could have them back once we'd moved (mean mum!!) Meant their shelves etc were neat and tidy with no excesses on the floor/ piled precariously. Everything which could be put away in the house was - so all dresser tops etc were clear or had minimal things on - except I did have a book on my bedside. Pots of pretty colourful bedding plants by the front door and on patio - and then they came with us to the new house :D:D

DD had flowers stencilled over her walls, so I painted over them with the original paint - meaning the viewers could see a (purple) room which could be adult or child based, rather than young girly room.

Kitchens and bathrooms were just clean and clear with bright colour matched accessories. Home office was neat. Kids were definitely NOT around for viewings!! I removed lots of ornaments and 'stuff' (and kept them removed - they pretty much all got charity shopped when we moved) Windowsills were mainly clear, with just one thing centrally placed
