Bliddy phone. An interview. Not a job.
Pros...close to home better behaviour part time
Cons...less money. I am too fat and I don't want to give up the idea that i might get a job there *one day* and I dont want to make a t i t of myself.0 -
And I don't want to deal with not having got it.
And I miss Squirrel. Where is she?0 -
Do I go for the interview?0

Hi Alchemilla, my advice would be not to delay new opportunities until weight is right - if you get offered the new job, with less hours and stress, you'll gain more time to look after you, as well as the family - hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
With the focus and passion you have for your profession, I can't imagine you'd make a t I t out of yourself at all.

You rarely regret the things you do, but more often the things you don't.
As for the weight thing, be careful of self limiting thoughts, it's probable the only person who will think anything of this is you.
Hope I haven't come across as patronising, but go for it,Start Date 16/09/2015

the chances of you teaching an interview lesson with DD in are very slim. It's unlikely that you'll even get a glimpse of her on your tour of the school.
If you were to get the job, we're talking a September start which would give you a 4 month headstart on the weightloss.
What have you got to lose? In situations like this, I think I'd rather know than forever wonder what if.
I can't remember whether you said if this was a TLR'd post, or just a normal teaching job. If the latter, brace yourself for the fact that no matter how good you are you may well be too expensive given the way that budgets are being crunched.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
This is main scale. No TLR.
Thanks for your advice, all.xxx0 -
Oh my - I agree with what everyone has said, go for it! And yes, its what we *dont* do that we tend to regret. I can understand its disappointing when you found out it was an interview, not a job - but it sounds like you might be on a very short list, if thats how it sounded. Please, please, go for it.
I'm wondering about Squirrel too ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0
