It has 40 acres. It makes £4400 per year from solar cells and single CAP farm payments so only another £35600 salary to replace.
Could I farm tourists? Retrain as a driving instructor?

A great property, a great opportunity! You could coppice for firewood and fencing (there was a fencing shortage 2 years ago!), you could grow saffron crocuses (more expensive than gold, weight for weight), you could set up a country walk that people would pay to come on, you could start up a pick your own ... (trying to think of stuff where there isn't much work after you get it set up!).
