Spent £25 in Lidl but got groceries, three hi vis vests (for the car) and a play mat/rug for Baby's room which he is more pleased with than anyone was ever pleased with anything.
Love the picture that gives of a super happy baby!must get a rug for my older one too.

Quite a jolly day today and three, yes three, of my Y11s turned up for revision after school which is 2 more than usual.
Today I am grateful for
* not quite dark at 6.45 dog walk
* fresh air
* Baby shouting "Mama" when I picked him up
* DD1 did piano and maths practise without drama
* Baked potato for dinner - yum!

Thanks for that alchem, I thought there must be a reason not to re-use them.
I love your "grateful" lists btw, nice and upbeatMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Thanks Newgirly.
Manic day. Gcse module results. Most people got what they deserved.
Raining bats and frogs. A NSD but may spoil it by getting chips later.
Today I am grateful for
* its Friday tomorrow
* earl grey tea
* i am not out there in the rain
* having a dishwasher
* i have already got presents in the january sales for the parties the children have been invited to.0 -
Failed to report in yesterday. Too busy and too glad to get my appraisal done.
So glad its the weekend.
Spent loads of money yesterday. Baby gate, carbon monoxide detector, presents for Baby's second birthday..
But... in the Blakes 7 episode "star one" there is a great scene where Blake is Blair justifying the Iraq war and they predict global weirding. Damn clever as it aired first in 1979 .0 -
Clear to see you are a scientist..... Have a good weekend,
Squirrel:jPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I resemble that remark. Also Orac is blatantly the internet...but when I try to get people involved in my "Dr Who as a metaphor for Jesus" theories they glaze over. Funny that.
So busy today. DD2 to a party, I had run out of "boy" wrapping so I improvised with orange and black glitter card left over from Halloween party invitations. The end result was somewhat punk (or carp).
Puppy love had rolled in cowsh (DH oblivious). She made my eyes water so she got her yearly bath. Now she stinks of wet dog. Notalot better.
Spent loads today - big birthday present for neighbour who teaches DD1 piano and won't take money for it. Plant for Mum. Chocolate freddos I promised my Y10s who got their grades.
I somewhat daringly (stupidly?) highlighted my own hair with a brush (rather than shower cap and crochet hook). I *think* I got away with it, did a better job than the last hairdresser anyway. I look sunkissed rather than resembling a ginger badger.
So today I am grateful for
* Merlin
* Dr Who
* gift wrapping in shops
* my daughters who somewhat ridiculously squashed into the bathroom to see the dog bathed
* Food Bargains and Mr T who delivered yesterday. How did people do a supermarket shop with kids and a job??

snow here today. laptop won't let me use capitals, weirdly.
church this morning. lovely posy of daffodils and simnel cake. i had a handmade card from each of the three musketeers and a funny one from dh. He also gave me a stunning orchid in a pot. Then this afternoon he took DD1 riding and the smalls chucked a massive tantrum. DD2 went on for 90 minutes.
Glad (ooh capitals are back) I invested in hairdressing scissors a while back to do fringes, DD2 was struggling to see out. We lost an ebay auction for some dining chairs that would have been a steal (£250 for 6, oak). £24 on riding.
Puppy love had her collar washed and returned and is asleep on my feet.
Today I am grateful for
* being able to have children and that they were all delivered safely
* my Mum being alive and relatively well
* the wonderful work done in our Church by very few people working very hard
* our home
* having more than enough to eat.

Have just read your whole diary and about to subscribe, a lovely read, loving the 5 thankful things, so easy to get caught up in negativity, nice to focus on the positive.Alchemilla wrote: »laptop won't let me use capitals, weirdly.
capitals are wildly over-rated.0
