If I bring the booze can I come to the TTFTM glorious bonfire party too please?
Really feeling the pinch this month. Three family birthdays, Mother's day and a wedding next month so have had to book the accommodation and put down a deposit. Plus my job change means my travel costs have tripled but the new salary doesn't kick in until the end of the month. Fortunately we haven't had to pay council tax as we went for the ten month payment option so that has given us a bit of breathing space but had planned to use that money for the emergency fund. Oh well - wouldn't life be boring if everything went to plan.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Still managing banking with old bank and have made small payments to credit cards as I want to show that I am willing to keep some kind of payments to them until the payments from Stepchange kick in.0

Hi justapensioner, be aware that banks may use the offset rule to gain funds for debts that's why it's always best to bank somewhere that's not connected to your debtsLBM Dec 2012 total debt 33,889 :eek:dmp started March 2013 DFD Dec 2024

Yes I know about that, this is the transitional period as my DD etc are all set up with new Co-op Bank account. What I am doing is making small payments on CCs until the Stepchange payments take over and to show that I am not trying to avoid paying them.
The only one I am concerned about and wonder if I can still make a small payment is my Natwest Loan as it was due 1st March and did not have the money for it. I am wondering if I should make a small payment on it or not or wait for Stepchange to deal with0 -
Ok sorry i misunderstood that, try to make token payments where u can, u could send a postal order?LBM Dec 2012 total debt 33,889 :eek:dmp started March 2013 DFD Dec 2024
