Very quick good morning to all from me :hello:

Just wanted to report that debt is now officially in the £20Ks :j

Doing a very happy dance here! :D

    Hello you old rascal!
Just logged on after months to ask a question elsewhere on this site then wandered over here for a quick peek.
Well done you - the future is bright, the future is (not orange but but bl**dy wonderful - take it from me)
Best wishes to you, HH and to all ( and everybody else who knows me - blush!)
Currently getting myself bogged down in possible PPI reclaiming etc but not altogether convinced I had, and my murky DMP past with no longer institutions such as Northern Rock doesn't help.
Oh well - onwards and upwards! Best wishes to all, keep the faith - it WILL come right in the end.

First day went well. Have asked my recruitment lady to email me just to confirm hours worked and amount paid, and she's done so, and I've forwarded that, along with my contract to SC.
They also said on the phone this morning that I didn't need my bank details for them to activate the plan - as soon as they have all the information they need otherwise, they will start writing to the companies and I can amend DD details when they are needed, so that was nice.
It is looking like an April start now though :(

  • In preparation of my start, spent all day cancelling DDs and as much information from my online accounts for the CCs. Not sure if it makes a difference. Switched on as many paper statements as I could too. I want to see it in black and white when the DMP starts and not using my paper and printer ink ;)
  • Well not been on for quite some time but it is always good to come have a look at how well everybody is doing and to all those taking their first steps to a new debt free life. Can honestly say the day I admitted I was in trouble and contacted step change was the best decision I have made in a long time. 18 months in and I can see my debts reducing month by month and it feels great.
    DMP started 1st July 2012
    Total debt £24,000 :(
    Balance at 17/04/17 £3496
Total Paid to date £12000
    DFD Dec 2017 :money:
4 1/2 years in and all is well feeling good:j

To answer your question - no I haven't but I am keeping a look out for the Kew Gardens 50p piece. Going for lots of money on flea bay apparently:rotfl:

It is so strange after a long time of dreading the postie calling you just want to snatch his hand off and update your balances in the right direction.

    Morning Twitty

So lovely to hear from you. Don't be a stranger.

Good luck with the PPI. If you don't try you don't know.

Ticking along nicely here will be done within 5 or 6 months.

I never thought I would look forward to checking my finances, but I do now:D
Congratulations on the latest figures TTFTM, that is an inspiration to us all how it can be done!

My trouble is I would rather have my little treats than pay my debt off any quicker, which is very naughty I know.

Whatever gets you through, don't feel sad about this, we all need some comforts at times, sure there are things you don't spend on that you could!
