Same here, I check this thread as often as I can and try to post regularly. This thread is my lifeline, my motivation and my inspiration and I thank you all for your contribution!

Hi Peeps
Not been here a while - just done my annual review on line with SC for the first time rather than over the phone. Must say I quite like the way it works through all the figures and out pops your revised payment plan. In my case my monthly payment reduced slightly and my DFD is extended by another two months - that's courtesy of Hmrc who took my child tax benefits away due to high rate tax charge and my minuscule pay rise did not cover my loss of benefit. In the grand scheme, hopefully I will recover that over time. Entering my third year of my Dmp - slowly moving forward.0 -
Hi everyone. I check the thread regularly too. It was such a great help when we started out on our DMP. It was a stressful time but now when things go wrong (usually the car) it is water off a duck's back:D
I am up for my annual review in the New Year too Larac. It used to be in the summer but changed when we made changes to our plan. It should be easier doing it on line.
The Halifax kicked off because we made a reduced payment in November. We have to send them an SOA again because we have broken the agreement. Hey ho, just another blip in my DMP journey.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Ive been reading through the posts on this thread and thought I would add my own as I am a newbie to DMP.
I emailed my information to Step Change on Thursday last week and am waiting to hear back from them regarding the DMP.
Is anyone able to tell me how long it normally takes for SC to set up a DMP please?
Any advice for a newbie would be appreciated. Many thanksDebt with StepChange - updated total to followProud to be dealing with my debt - DFW no 6570 -

The emailed me and told me that I could do it online. If you login and then look under 'My Plan' you hopefully may see the link 'My Review'
Thought it was quite useful and saves you having the phone discussion going through line by line all the items.
Guess it saves time as more and more people contact the charity.0 -

Hi and welcome Beginagain, I can advise you with regards to my own set up. I was ready to go with my new bank account etc in September but delayed my start up as I wanted to get some car repairs done and have a little put by for an emergency fund! So my dmp didn't start until 1st November. I paid token payments to all my creditors for 3 months. I believe it can be quite quick should that be what you require but I have to say I have already had to dip into the e.fund due to a poorly freezer!
The one piece of advice I can give is to go back and read through as much of this thread and previous one's as you can, there is so much information on here that will answer many of your questions and probably answer some you didn't know you wanted to ask!!
Good luck with it and make sure you pop in and let us know how its all going.

Natwest cc statement in ..... no charges or interest... :T
So that's 5 out of 9 on 0%, 3 i'm waiting to hear from and 1 naughty one...!
I think the overall increase from stopping paying normally and being set up is probably about 2% which I believe is the experience HH had as well. Now the only way is DOWN... for the debts that is, not me....:DChristmas 2020 £109

DMP making my life easier, an unexpected £200 from Barclaycard for a PPI claim and then POW!!! Our self employed electrician son doesn't get paid and is owed for 6 weeks work, Washing machine packs up and I can't fix it this time and I get home to a letter from Mercers a debt agency working on behalf of Barclaycard. Rung Stepchange who said that Mercers are part of Barclays and was told to put the letter to one side and let SC deal with it :T (Standard procedure from Barclaycard).
Well that's one out of three sorted, roll on Christmas:beer:0
