Thanks dmb and growurown
. I'm lucky that i have the chance of overtime. I owe my mum 2k and want to pay that back asap so it wouldnt be included in my list of debts. Credit card debts amount to just over 23k, did the stepchange debt remedy thing online, looking at around 165 towards the debt monthly. Have a scottish advisor phoning me at 9 tomorrow morning so will go over my figures again tonight. So grateful to have found this thread, it has given me hope and a bit of relief between the moments of extreme worry!

Hi KP.
We also had an overdraft with NatWest which went onto the DMP, they did the same with us for about 3 months then sold the debt on, all the interest is now frozen and we haven't heard anything from them for nearly 8 months now. They have to play ball, they can't have what you don't have.........
Thanks for your input Bertman - I thought they would do that, hopefully this wont go on for much longer then!0 -
Just off the phone to a lovely advisor at Stepchange, setting up a debt arrangement scheme. of course I won't can completely relax until I have it in writing that it's been accepted but the relief is HUGE!!! :j
It's my debt and I want to pay back every penny and I will, looking at a 10 year payback plan but it's my intention to reduce that as much as I can.
Just want to not spend every moment of the day worrying about money!0 -
