I've received my interest now.
MSE's: Please note that your interest will not appear in your monthly saver on the 1st anniversary of account opening. It will appear the day after, but the date paid will be shown as your account opening anniversary date.
I've been paid just under £150 net interest.Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
Ditto !! £1480

You're welcome.
If you opened your monthly saver on the 30/5/2006, then your interest will appear in your account on the 31st May. The date paid will be adjusted to the 30/5.Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
The Interest is a good question I suppose the posters who neared the £150 interest managed to invest £750 in the 1st month? My wife invested £500 in month 1 and received £132.43 in interest. However I think she may have been taxed as a basic rate tax payer, if I am not mistaken, this is not the case for my wife how do I redress this issue with the overpayment in tax?0

Your wife will have to complete an R40 taxback form. Click here for a link to the form.
To ensure that her savings do not get taxed again she must also complete an R85 form to register for gross interest. Click here for a link to the form.
Re: the amount of interest. I did get £1,000 in as quick as possible by opening the account near the end of the month and ensuring that £750 was in within 4 days. The next £250, taking the balance up to £1,000, went in on the 1st of the following month. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
I've only received £125.72 interest. I put £500 in 1 June 06 then £250 on 21st of the month (including that June). Would that account for the difference?0
