I wash mine every time they're used too. Now I think about it, it is dumb. I don't wash my sheets daily and they must get dirtier than a towel.0

Two of us, a towel each for bath/shower and a face cloth plus hand towel............face cloths and hand tpwels go into the bin each week, all towels and facecloths are washed every second week..........we hang them up to dry between use so they do not smell musty......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0

After each use here too - use the wet towel to dry the bath and floor and then straight into the wash - I'm not a neat freak about other things but would not want to risk using a towel that someone has used to floss their undercarriage - same with flannelsI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080

We have our own towels- so three between us (one for hair, one for body-me). I cant wash them every day-cost a lot for electricity, don't need washing that often as we are clean when we dry off (just had a bath/shower for heavens sake!). Hand towels are different if theyve had a lot of use, depends who's been in/if we've been out all day i havent used it, maybe once or twice!
keely.
ps-we only had one or two baths a week when we were little, and yes ive shared baths/water with my sister before too!Mommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0 -
My husband and I shower every day witout fail and I love him and his bits. It would not even occur to me to worry about using a towel that he had used for any of his bits and I know the same is true for him. We always dry the towels after use either in the airing cupboard ( we have hooks on the back of the door for this very purpose so the air can circulate around the airing cupboard) Then when I change the bed every week the towels go in with the bedding on a nice hot wash and all done and dusted. I would not dream of wasting all that electricity.water, soap powder on something that has been used to dry a clean body.0

Once a week here too! We have our own bath towels, flannels. I have a hair towel and a separate one I dry my feet with (I'm paranoid about possibly getting athletes foot which may cause thrush?!). Hand towel in bathroom once or twce a week. I change the tea towel once or twice as I tend to let things drain (most pots go in the dishwasher, so don't need drying). Towels are always hung to dry quickly, never get smelly or musty.
I couldn't bring myself to waste all that water (we're on a meter), washing powder and leccie, but I always tumble dry them - I don't like hard towels.0 -
Once a week too - as others have said towels are used to dry clean bodies. We use hugemonous bath sheets so I use the middle bit for hair and face and the two ends for bits and pieces. All freshly showered bits and pieces I have to add, and, on the days I use Tea Tree shampoo in the shower the bits and pieces are tingling fresh cos the suds move down the body and 'invigorate' the parts they are not designed for!
Hopping and jumping around the bathroom is good for the circulation.0 -
We all have our own towels, and look out if anyone else uses them!!
I change them twice a week - DH always showers at least twice a day, I'm once or twice, depending on what I've been doing. If there is to be any peace, it will come through being, not having - Henry MillerM.A.C.A.W Member . . Wannabe Flybaby0
