Mis-selling by Wish Communications

You may want to be more specific, with details of the issue and who Wish are. I daresay there may be more than one phone supplier called Wish... Do you mean http://www.wishcommunications.co.uk0

Unfortunately the company that i work for also took out a contract through Wish Communications for Vodafone, and the whole thing has been absoloutley diabolical.
We still have 18 months remaining on the contract, we have no service or signal on any of our phones.
Since we took the contract out and the problems started immediately Vodafone have been and done a check in the area and we are in a area where we can not receive a signal.
Vodafone and Wish have said that there is nothing further they can do - they are in breach of there contract but will not let us cancel it unless we pay £14,000 in termination fees. Alternatively we have been told we can carry on with no signal for the remainder of the contract or we can pay to have multiple masts fitted at £4000 each which may help but it is not guaranteed.
The overall customer service and satisfaction with Wish and Vodafone is very very poor and I would advise anyone who is considering using these companies to seriously re-consider.
Also something Wish do not tell you at time of contract is that after your first 12 months your costs treble in monthly.
Please anyone researching before signing do not make the same mistake my company did.0 -
So didn't the person responsible for the contract first check that a Vodafone signal could be received at the required location? For a personal buyer, that's careless. For a corporate buyer, it's just negligent.
Mobile contracts are minimum term but not fixed price-they can increase at any time.
Wish nor Voda do not guarantee service in every location, so they are not in breach of contract. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

" or we can pay to have multiple masts fitted at £4000 each which may help but it is not guaranteed. "
so you pay 14000 for the service then pay 4000 per each mast, well you could put your own mobile masts up to save money or buy a pay as you go mobile on all 5 uk networks then you can be succesfulLet them eat cake (Marie Antoinette 1765)0 -
Thank you for your information Damant. I am preparing to complain to Ofcom, and all the statutory bodies that I can think of. Would you be able to send me some more information? Where are you? Wish communications and Vodafone mis-led many businesses in South Wales.
So many people have been taken in by the way that they sell that something must be done. Small businesses can't afford to pay treble the monthly payments in the second year. The courts will say that we should have paid attention to the small print but if they are using fraudulent techniques, Wish Communications and such like companies must pay for their mis-selling. The Ombudsman won't do it. We need to act as a group and maybe we can get this sorted out.
Do not touch " Wish Communications" or Vodafone Partner Services, whatever you do. You have been warned.0 -
I was sold a contract by Wish Communications and my monthly payment trebled in the second year. When they sell you a contract, they don't tell you that each sim card is payable. The salesmen gave me 12 sim cards saying that the government is subsidising small businesses and I could give them to family and friends. When I received my first bill, it was £126 for the first sim and every sim is charged by Vodafone @ £25. Vodafone told me then that my cancellation charges would be over £5000. Once I had signed the contract, that was it. The ombudsman is partial and sided with Wish communications. Wish Communications do not divulge these costs until afterwards. I asked the salesman and he was adamant that the monthly charges would be the same throughout the 24 month contract. They mask the first 12 months with a discount, then they don't tell you what the second year monthly payment would be. This can't be right. How can a small business budget and plan? The type of contract is unfair and I would be very grateful if someone with a law background can help me.0

Hi, still confused by the incomplete information you have provided, what did you understand you would be paying for a 12 sim contract ?
From what you suggest you are being charged £126 + (11x £25) =£401 / 12 = £33/month.
What are you being charged in the 2nd year ?
You have not given any information about the tariff provided or if you received any mobiles with the contract.0 -

Looking at Wish's site and what you said above, it looks like a Business to Business sale not Business to Consumer. Different rules apple to B2B sales to B2C.
The details should be in the contract, what did that say? You say you'd like someone with a law background to help, if you are a business and need that level of help then unfortunatly no laywer is likely to do it for free.0
