Tesco Club Card Deals Virgin Holidays

Does anyone recommend booking a holiday using your vouchers? I've saved £200 worth and would like to take family to Florida next year and £800 off is quite tempting. However reading small print its quite restricting. Some other posts have said because you have to call to book you pay more to start with. I also have Virgin credit card which also gives 10%off I assume that I won't be able to combine the offers? Just looking for general advise from people who have used their vouchers in this way.

I too have been saving my Tesco club vouchers to put towards a holiday to Dubai or Las Vagas with Virgin. Would also be interested in hearing others views.

Thanks Almond I guess like with anything you have to shop around and get the best price, then see what price they(Virgin) offer. The £800 off is the lure and if you lazy and naive you'd just go ahead and book without shopping around first.

We used £100 Tesco vouchers to book our Virgin holiday to St Lucia and got £400 off the cost. It was very simple, just a case of redeeming clubcard vouchers online using the specific code for Virgin Holidays. I did this on a Friday night and received my vouchers form Tesco on the following Tuesday morning. They give you a direct line number to ring Virgin and by lunchtime our holiday was booked!

I had got quotes on the Virgin website for my holiday prior to booking and our holiday was the same price as this but we did lose the "online discount" of about £160 so our net gain was £240 overall. I think it was well worth it as vouchers did not cost us anything and I normally shop at Tesco anyway.

Good luck with booking your holiday. We are off to St Lucia in 2 weeks - can't wait!![/FONT]:j :j

I phoned for a quote last night for a trip to Florida in Dec 08. The only difference was the online discount of just under £100, so well worth booking through your clubcard deals. I still got 2 kids places at £199 each aswell :)

If you order the virgin holiday vouchers - do you have to use them straight away, or can you save them for later.
Reason is, what if your tesco clubcard vouchers are about to expire, but you dont have enough saved to book your holiday?

The deal vouchers are valid for 6 months from date of issue (or as the others say it seems you can have them reissued if unused).

Virgin Holidays with tesco means you pay full price

    ie £3000 holiday less £500 tesco vouchers = £2500

With any good travel agent (Ace Travel Salford 0161 707 1269) (Dial a Flight)
you will get 10-12% discount so the holiday price would be less than £2700

Still cheaper with your vouchers but not using them to the full potenial like XL holidays would be.

Personal opinion but I'd take the cash discount and use them elsewhere.
