Im saving mine to pay for a complete holiday. Using a few vouchers doesn't seem worth it to me.0

hi
if you need help I can look on viewdata to get a price so you have some idea
I am just getting prices for holidays with Virgin using Tesco vouchers but yesterday spent about half an hour on the phone waiting for them to find me a price, it then came out at about £100 more per person than the brochure price, can't get the price on the internet as it won't give prices on holidays to Malaysia.
Does anyone know if I could book a tailor made trip to Australia for July/August 2008 and pay with Tesco vouchers. Also what kind of cost would I be looking at for flight to Sydney, spend 10 days in Sydney with hotel, fly to Brisbane and spend 7 nights staying with relatives, then 5 days on barrier reef staying in hotel. Stopover on way out and way back of at least 3 nights either Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore.
Just need a ball park figure per person (2 adults travelling) so I can decide if its better to save my Tesco vouchers to use against this or book it myself. The only downside I can see using Tesco for Virgin is having to have accommodation booked for the duration of the stay. In that case I would choose cheapest hotel in Brisbane.
Many thanks for any adviceJust because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you0 -
i've gone on holiday with virgin and tesco cc and the holiday was for about 2500, all paid for by Tesco.
i wouldn't bother with short breaks or low value holidays - you should be able to get 5% discount online and 10% if your a member of the flying club or a frequent virgin club member.Matched Lay Betting Profit £992

I have always used Virgin for my last few Florida trips, when I found out nearly 2 years ago I could pay using tesco vouchers I started saving using this site. I have just come back from my 3 week holiday which i put £1570 towards with Tesco vouchers, well worth it in my opinion!
Already got £1200 towards next year.0 -
Same here - we got £1400 off our last holiday and I am saving again to go in 2009. I already £1200+ and I figure I should be able to save £3000 at least in this time to give us a top of the range holiday even if we have to pay for tickets. The killer is the spending money - we spent more while we were there than we paid for the holiday itself so you still have to save if you want to have a good time.0

Sorry to hijack - but my fiance and I were thinking of using Virgin for a wedding holiday as we want to get married in Vegas and so we are saving our Clubcard vouchers towards this.
However we wondered can we use clubcard vouchers issued to friends and family too? As we have friends and family who are willing to give their vouchers towards the wedding, but I am unsure as to wether we would be allowed to do this?Dream of being mortgage free....

I've just booked a trip to Australia for my husband and I.
Staying in Hong Kong for 2 nights a tour around Sydney for 4 nights, then staying in Cairns for 6 nights. Total cost £2098 each then we had a discount of £1375 with the Tesco vouchers that I had saved up. It's defiantly worth saving them up to get a bigger discount. If you work hard you can save quite a lot vouchers to book for next summer. Just remember that the last cut off date for you to receive your vouchers would be the May mailing.
Hope that helps you a bit.0 -
When booking a virgin holiday via the internet, you book, then pay a deposit. When you need to pay the remainder, can you then send the Virgin vouchers you have redeemed from Tesco, as part/all of the balance? Or do you have to book via an agent or the phone?0

you can't book online, you have to phone a special phone number direct to virgin.
the above won't work.Matched Lay Betting Profit £992
