I've got the Vodafone Sure Signal box, 5 bars everywhere in my house... good piece of kit since we normally get next to no signal where I live (despite it being in a city..)

  • Hmm if it's still down to a box attached to a router I'd rather stick with vodafone. the O2 tugo thing sounds good though... I'll look into that!

The SureSignal is, if you want it to actually work, yes.

Yes, but my neighbour, who's wifi I'm using has a vodafone suresignal box which I can also use.

I'd still prefer to be able to use wifi alone so that I can also use it in other places, such as friend's houses and pubs. There's no signal in this whole area!

I think I'm going to use skype to send/receive calls over wifi and the suresignal at home, unless this O2 thing is any good, which would make things easier!

I'm going to call O2 and find out a bit more about it. Is anyone using it yet or is it still in development?
  • Just spoke to an o2 customer services person who didn't really know much apart from that Tugo is coming 'soon' for Android and ios... can't find much more info online - anyone else know any more? I don't want to move to o2 then have to wait months for a crappy app but on the other hand it'll be more useful long term than suresignal for me if it works well and is coming out shortly

Don't know how your using their SureSignal box as you have to register numbers on it...
  • Been using it since 2007 and it looks like like its down to the blackberrys now, I am using it in the states at the moment saves roaming if you know how lol on a s2 I think the 4g signal will travel a lot further that's my gut feeling why they will fase it out.but it's great on the underground or in train tunels if they have wifi or like me a bad orange signal.
