Obviously Smart Parking Ltd are out to nab as many people as possible, regardless of the facts.
Yes. It's how they make their income. But if you want to discuss further, then please start you own thread.0 -

So why is it here then? I thought a thread was for members to post on. If you don't like what I have to say, close the thread or go private. I'll post where I like if I'm posting within forum rules and not posting anything that is offensive...and I CAN be offensive, believe me.Note to Self: When posting, remember to keep within "forum rules" to avoid upsetting other "interested parties"0 -

You have misunderstood.
This is a very old thread and some information in it is old and it relates to a different problem.
When a new topic comes us or a person has a problem, then this sub forum works on the basis that we try to help the original poster and advise anyone with another subject or even a similar problem, to start their own thread so that any comments on that thread are concentrated on the point made by the original poster.
So it's not a matter of offence or anything else but you have made a point, so why not start your thread with a suitable title and you will get comments/advice or whatever on your subject.0 -

This is not an "old thread" in comparison to some I've posted on and if it is old, I just updated it with new information.
Why would you ever want to send people away from a thread that has a high listing on a Google search. The search is giving a list of the most relevant answers to the issue raised. My post was relevant to the thread because it included the use of the disabled bay, ASDA, Smart Parking Ltd and a solution to the problem.
MSE is quite keen on combining or closing threads that refer to similar issues after a period of time. As they haven't done so yet, I presume they don't see it as out of date. If I start a new thread on the same subject it will a. not be as high on a Google search, b. not be seen by the starter of this thread and c. probably get closed since it is similar to this thread.
Thanks for your advice and sorry if you think I'm treading on your patch, but I'll keep on going as I am. If it's a matter of not wanting to be reminded of things via this 'old thread' I'm sure that, with all the MSE badges you've earned yourself, you know how to stop the subscription updates!

Then why not take it up with MSE then? We would actually like a lot of the outdated threads locked so that people don't make the same mistake as you and end-up getting out of date info/advice.
Also, the post-POFA world of parking appeals is still evolving, with new challenges and avenues appearing regularly, so posting on any of the current threads relating to this firm would have served you far better.
And lastly, you did agree to a clear no-bumping condition as part of your signup, so its pretty obvious you don't care one-fig for the rules when it suits you, so why get stroppy with anyone else?
So go-on, try posting your own thread. That way you get the best advice tailored to your exact situation and you help everyone else here by contributing to the ongoing knowledge-base for dealing with these scammers!0 -
I don't have an issue with the posts on here, so why would I take anything up with MSE?
The only one's with the issue the likes of you, who are now posting absolutely irrelevant messages here. They do not contain anything regarding Smart Parking Ltd or the original post.
As I said, I'll carry on and do as I've done. If MSE see fit to remove it, then that is not a problem. If you, or anyone else doesn't want me to be posting on this thread, then it's down to you, or them to report it. I'm fine doing as I'm doing.
It isn't going to be removed unless you get it removed so, in that respect, put up or shut up. You keep earning badges, I'll keep posting on threads that I want to post on. Live and let live.Note to Self: When posting, remember to keep within "forum rules" to avoid upsetting other "interested parties"0 -
Seems Mr Angry has made an appearance.
Nice work fella - not!0 -
You may post where you like. But if you want any advice, replies or comments on the points you wish to make, then it helps everyone if you create your own thread.
If you want to help anyone, of course you post on their threads.
That's being polite.
For the last time.
Now, if you have nothing constructive, helpful or intelligent to add, assuming that you have no other problems other than your attitude, I am sure you know already what the collective view of where you may go is.
Oh, you are not a Parking Company stooge, are you by any chance??0 -
You've been asked politely to create your own thread, like others who hijack threads. If you want advice please do as asked. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
