You only start to use up the £15 if you go outside the free calls/texts/data.
If you get down to £2 credit you get a text warning you so you can top up if required
You don't need to be in credit though to still use the free calls etc although it's handy to have a sfety net to fall back on
It's not just about the money0 -
I have a redemption deal found on a price comparison website , I'm on orange and get 500txts and 100mins a month in my contract , my total each month after I receive my cash back redemption is a whopping 43p per month , beat that one of you can :-)0

Are there any Android apps that can send text messages free, or is Fishtext the cheapest at 2p?Ovivo and Fishtext.
Ovivo gives you 100 minutes, 100 texts and 400mb free each month.
You could just use Whatsapp instead of the extra 300 texts (eg if you were frequently texting a small group of people).
Alternatively if you really want texts rather than instant messaging (which is what Whatsapp is), use fishtext.
Fishtexts cost 2p per text (in the UK), so 300 extra texts will cost you £6 per month.
I thought apps like Go SMS Pro would send a text message using the data allowance, but Go SMS Pro still uses the text allowance.0 -
Ovio sounds amazingly good for me whos is a pretty low end user. Want to get an iphone 5 at some point but might as well wait for the 5s to be announced. Ovio sounds like the perfect place to jump ship to.0

AFAIK fishtext is the cheapest for texts (as opposed to instant messaging like Whatsapp).0 -

I dont wanna pay for things she's not going to use, so 250 texts and mins is totally enough
She only uses about 150 texts at the moment and on average about 50 mins, but there's months when she's been to about 200 mins- Ovivo Mobile, after three months of topping up £10/month & pay the difference for months with extra usage after.
- Vectone Mobile, £5/month sim-only, Popular 300 plan; 300mins/300texts/300MB/Vectone to Vectone 1000 FREE mins & 1000 FREE texts. (No commitment/cancel at any time)
