A full list of companies who can offer you the scheme can be found by searching the green deal participants register.
What your after should nt need a Green Deal loan anyway you should be able to get it free or at very little cost.
If you want a green deal loan the only requirements are it must meet the golden rule and you must have an electricity metre it doesn't matter who your supplier is."talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0 -

My mum has faulty double glazing which lets a lot of cold air in where the frame meets the wall and where the window opens and shuts.
Would she be able to get the green deal to replace the windows even though the house technically is double glazed?0 -

Probably not as Green Deal is a con. Only people who benefit are the people who are running the schemes.0 -

Use sealant for the gap between the wall and frame - expanding foam if a large gap (but be very careful with foam as depending on the make it expands A LOT and can break wooden frames).
Purchase new gaskets for the gap between the window and the frame. These are awesome: http://www.draftproofing.com/schlegel_aquamac.html I use Aquamac 21.0 -

No unfortunately as your house is already double glazed you could not get help with new double glazing. It seems like you need draft proofing, this can be done very cheaply."talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0 -
Can someone explain how the providers work once you ask them to quote on your GDA?
I had one done, asked for the provider to quote on it but heard nothing back.
Do they have certain companies they will work with to contract out the works?
Can you ask for a specific model of boiler etc due to size restrictions etc?
Thanks,
Richard0 -

Unfortunately all the providers I have dealt with have been very slow!
The providers work by either sending out an installer to give a quote and creating a plan around this quote or by overestimating the cost of the work and offering you a finance plan based on that and then contract out to an installer.
Yes you can ask for whatever you want provided it is mentioned on the GDAR, make model size etc..
The cheapest and quickest way to go would be to go direct to a green deal installer, they will be able to provide a quote for the work and then pass it onto a provider who they already have a relationship with. But this is not necessarily quick, its just quicker!"talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0
