I have this argument with my wife all the time.

She calls the evening meal "dinner" whereas I call the mid-day meal "dinner".

I do point out that how come at school they are called dinnerladies (including her mum) therefore I am right. She just points out that obviously she is right as she always is.

    That because she is right.
And you are showing your age.
They are now called ' Lunch Time Assistants'

You've me completely baffled now! Maybe it's the part of the country I'm from! :o

'Tea' to me is a cuppa as opposed to a meal. Am I missing something?!?!? :rotfl:
Have a mate from glasgow and they call lunch 'dinner' and dinner 'tea'. So each time we talk about what each other is having for dinner is a bit fun :D

I'm from Glasgow, and dinner is what I eat at 5pm, and tea is what I drink before bed :rotfl:

But I agree it's expensive to buy healthy. Way more expensive, and I wish it wasn't so expensive. That's why I'm sitting eating a bag of smartprice crisps rather than a fruit salad :o

    And it's Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner - Supper x
Can't think of anything smart to put here...

  • zepsgal, so it is just her then lol.

OP, we might have to start another thread on this dinner tea debate :D. And yes, it can be expensive to eat healthy but like some have suggested, a grocer can be cheaper.
  • Nah never worry about another thread! I've taken a mental note to check out for a local grocers and prices.

Back to the dinner/tea/lunch/grub debate.... :D
