I bought a book about 7 years ago-pay off your mortgage in two years. Watched the series too. We didn't even have a mortgage at that time. :rotfl:
I read the book and popped it in a cupboard and forgot about it.
I dug it out last night. Started reading it again...overslept today. :o
    oops...very interesting book. :)

Made a tablet today-recipe courtesey of Elantan-thank you.
I used caramel condensed milk instead of ordinary condensed and I omitted the vanilla essence-it's very sickly but lovely. :D
I got fed up of seeing all the loose change darling Mr tc leaves lying around, so I tidied all £1.37 of it into my little piggy bank :D along with some change out of my coat pocket.. May transfer it into my second savings account when the little piggy is full. :)
Managed to pay another £10 into savings today :D
Paid final £10 of the month into mortgage :D

    Hi there,

Wow, you are an inspiration! Just a thought. If you are keeping your charity shop stuff in the car boot it will burn a bit more fuel, due to additional weight. :) would hate for you to be burning money by accident when you're doing so amazingly well :T

Took your advice and took charity shop stuff to charity shop today. :D
Just need to have another sort out.
How many times do people relist things before they give up on them and send them to charity please?

  • Hi TattyC

I just relist on ebay until they sell. If it's an item that will cost to list (ie over 99p) I wait till free listings weekends and eventually it sells.

Well done on the progress. Fantastic :)

I've got a couple of men's coats which I'm struggling with. They aren't a big enough brand to really stand out and 'cos I paid a bit much for them, I need to get as near their top price as I can. Have relisted them, but expect I will need to wait until someone does a carboot & send them to that. They look very nice, but think people need to actually see them....

Just updated sig-a 6th (16.66% I think) of the way to achieving my objective re. mortgage. :D
Going to need to get my rear in gear to achieve the other 5/6 as we only have 10 months left. :(
