    Hi Ellidee
Doctor suggested that over the counter medicine is really good these days and to have a look! I have to go back later this week for blood tests.
I'm headachey and cold again today-so I've been back to bed for a couple of hours-headache is persisting though, so I think an early night is in order tonight.
No financials to report just now.

    Hi TC. :)

I am also a 'woman of a certain age' and have been having menopausal symptoms for a while now. I know exactly what you mean about the roasting/freezing cycle - the hot flushes are really something else and I find myself stripping off my warmer clothes. But then it all cools down and I have to put my cardie back on again. It's most annoying.

I don't seem to have any other symptoms of note though, so I haven't bothered taking anything for it. If I found it were really troubling me, I would go to the doctor but I can cope with it OK. I am a bit nervous of HRT, I must admit, but it has probably improved a lot since it was first introduced.

Let us know how you get on with it - I'd be interested to hear what medication you are recommended. :)

I have been looking at menopace. I read great reviews about them. Supermarket were out of stock today though. :( I did get @sd@ own brand but I've decided I shouldn't take anything until after I've had my bloods done on Thursday, as I don't want to affect the results of my hormone test. They are also checking for thyroid and iron.
I'm just not myself at all. I'm very short tempered as well as hot/cold. I was melting in supermarket. Came out got in car and had to put both front windows down until I had cooled down!
Headache has finally gone-thankfully as I didn't go to bed early. :o
I'm starting to feel cool now but no doubt as soon as I get into bed i will be like a furnace again! My mum had a rough time when she went through it...hoping that it isn't indicative of how mine will be. :(

Had a kind of busy but not doing very much day today. :o
I didn't wake up until after 10! :o I then spent time with my girlies-a rare change for us all to be home together. :)
Went round some charity shops with DD1 this afternoon-I wasn't really very motivated so I only bought a slow cooker recipe book and a country pickles and preserves (thin) recipe book.
I did buy some brill0 pads from a cheap shop-and some liquid soap.
Went to green grocers and bought about £12 worth of fruit and veg-and got much more than I would have got for the same price from one of the main supermarkets. :D
Had to make an impromptu visit to doctors with DD1 this evening, her BP is sky high!
Must check bank accounts in a bit. Just having a coffee. :)

Very late to do list for April:
    List 100 things
    Photograph more things to sell
    Study sewing tutorials I've downloaded
    Make 3 cushions-gifts
    Shred out of date paperwork
    Sort out coat rack
    Start exercising more.
Sort out freezer and use up ready to defrost.

Ok, I think that's enough to be going on with as it's only a 30 day month and it's already the 11th. :)

The only things I have managed to do from my list are:
    Study sewing tutorials
Started walking -just need to walk more!
I had better sort out May to do list

    May to do list.

    Take photos for listings
List on the bay at least 100 items
    Sort out freezer and defrost
    Make cushions
    Shred out of date paperwork
    Sort out mirror
    Make 2 things-sewing
    Add to savings

Will have to have a think and add more to the list.
I must achieve my list in May :D

I really need to sort myself out. I'm just so lethargic these last few weeks... :(

    Glad she's ok.

I hope you feel perkier soon. I know how you feel.

It may be all the hormones if you are indeed menopausal or peri-menopausal. When you have your blood tests you should find out a bit more about what's going on.

Meanwhile, take care of yourself and try to take it easy. :)
