Hey TC,
Your baking is phenomenal - have you never wanted to go into business with it? If so i will sign up as chief taster
I am with you on the needing a new hairdressers front - although i am thinking of having something very radical done at somewhere which will no doubt be very expensive  <--- that could be meAlthough i am thinking more of a partially shaved
might still go blue though as well
i hope you're better too TC x (i couldn't see a post saying what was wrong but hope you're ok)CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
I can colour my hair myself-fortunately, but I wouldn't risk trying to cut it myself. I once 'trimmed' my fringe. obviously if trimmed when wet it bounces up when dry and I had a couple of weeks with a tragically short fringe.
never again. :rotfl:
I used to go to T&G's but it is an expense I can do without. So I hope to find someone who comes to the house (as I've been told they are cheaper as their overheads are lower). Fingers crossed.
Having a good hair cut and colour is the one extravagance I haven't cut back on. I could certainly look for a cheaper hairdresser but I really love the way mine does my hair and the colours are beautiful every time. I would never do it myself.
Having said that, she did cut my fringe a little bit too short this time - she said I look about 12.But my hair grows so quickly, it'll only be a week or so until it looks quite normal again.
This afternoon I decided to get stuck into some baking so I have made h0bn0bs ...nothing else...for a change. So I made over 100 of them.:rotfl:
100 hobnobs. :eek::rotfl:
I don't think I've ever known such a prolific baker. Do you freeze some of those or do you just scoff the lot.0 -

Take a seat peaceandfreedom, you're more than welcome to have a hobnob or two.
We went to see a good friend tonight-so we took some there.
I'm going to see a friend tomorrow morning and I will take her some too. The rest we will eat during the course of a week-and any visitors will be offered one of course.
I love baking-but I have to be in the mood!if we hadn't been going out this evening I would have carried on baking an array of sweet stuff!
I'm on the hunt for a good fruit loaf / plum bread kind of recipe if anyone has one or knows one please.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Now getting myself organised so I can pay money into the bank!
It should be a low spend day today-I think I only need a bag of sugar.
I also need to Blanche and freeze some veg and dice peppers and mushrooms and freeze them too.

Paid £30 change into bank.
need some sales soon or I'm going to have to move money back from savings to cover direct debits.
at the moment I think I will be between £10-£20 short, but I do have until 26th to make up the shortfall without plundering the savings.
Ended up buying a loaf of bread and some sugar and a local paper so it was a low £2.60 spend today.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

I would like to do some crafty stuff today.fingers crossed.
I also have some more baking to do hopefully.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Washing put away.
Another load in and another ready to go in.
No baking done as yet.
Had a late one last night and up early this morning so I was tired and out of sorts this afternoonwent to bed for an hour-felt much better.
Mushrooms chopped and in freezer.
I read in A Girl Called Jack that she dries them and stores them. Anyone know how to do this effectively or if it's a better way of storing them please?GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Found this regarding drying mushrooms

I've never tried it, but would imagine that drying is better than freezing due to the way they can soak up water"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
