Massive hugs angeltreats, it's always a shock when you get not-great results. As good vibes has said, there's a lot of us on the 12+ thread with male factor issues. We're currently having a discussion about the best way to hide walnuts in your partner's food :) come and play!
  • Hi Firey, sorry about your mc and huge hugs.

Coming to an iPhone app to track ovulation I use an app called clue.
For the first cycle it will average 28 days but as you enter data for the first month it will accommodate according to your cycle. It's really good tells you the days you will most fertile at the beginning of the cycle.

    I also use clearblue OPK's.

thank you very much, I'll download that now :) there's so many to choose from I didn't want to get a confusing one. iv never explored the world of OPK's so I'll have to do some reading :)

Samtoby I'm impressed by how well you managed that scenario. It is so tough surviving let alone managing those conversations!
Part mouse I was getting only highs and peaks, but the peaks were often wrong. I know CBFM don't always work with PCO so I was going to sell it, but thought I'd try again after the inositol.
Angeltreats sorry about your news. I think staying across both boards works for lots of us.

Looks like loads of hugs are needed here today, so everyone, consider yourself hugged!

Hard to believe that DH and I are nearing our 1 year date of ttc. I'll mention it at my next doctors office visit, and if they say I need to lose weight for anything to happen, I'll tell them about my dad's mom, who weighed around 400 pounds before, during, and after she had 7 children...

On another topic entirely, does anyone happen to know where I can buy swing top clip lids for bottles? Just the lids/hardware, not the bottles. I can use corks, but the clip lids frankly look nicer on home made stuffs. :o

Thanks tea. That might work, but I'd need to drill holes on each side of the bottles neck. I'm not quite comfortable doing that here. Was fine back in the US, I had my dad's drill press with glass bits and clamps!

I'm wanting to make homemade ginger ale, which needs to be opened once per day until the yeasties stop being quite so bubbly unless I heat it to kill them (poor yeasties). Meh, who knows? We'll see how it goes. :)

    Hi all

I haven’t read back as I’m at work and it’s a bit difficult, but just wanted to scrounge some hugs please. We got DH’s repeat SA results and they were not good at all. Count was 2 million per ml (total 2ml so 4 million), motility was 24%. This is comfortably within the range where they would just send you straight for ICSI.

Our normal GP is on holiday at the moment so we have an appointment to see him when he’s back on 22 August. Going to be a long wait.

I think it’s time I joined the other thread really, I’ve only charted for 11 months but was NTNP for ages before that and clearly I'm in it for the long run now.

Hope the rest of you are having a better day! x

I know it's difficult news to hear, but you've at least got some (likely) answers as to why you're struggling, plus it's a completely surmountable problem. ICSI's great. Sometimes we just need a bit of help from those clever quacks. But no one's telling you you're never going to have a baby - quite the opposite now that you know what you're dealing with.

    Hi all,

Not posted for a while, but lurk frequently :)

I had a Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) yesterday I have been googling around and there are a few mixed messages about whether you can TTC in the same month. A few people (I think they are americans) were saying that they had been told not to try in case of infection or radiation from the xray???

I was advised not to have unprotected intercourse before the procedure, but nothing about afterwards, so I was wondering if anyone knew for certain

On a positive, the radiologist said all tubes etc looked fine :)
