The conceive plus has turned up! It had fallen out of the suitcase when I unpacked and got shoved under the wardrobe. I no longer want the ground to swallow me up :D

Big hugs to all the CD1s x

yay for retrieving the conceive plus.

Feeling a bit down today. Not sure if it's the impending cd21 test or DH being less than supportive (he's been pretty much telling people like his mum and one of his friends that we're having tests because I'm crazy and obsessive) or if it's just the general early lp bleurgh combined with random spotting which probably means my hormones are out of kilter or that I have an ear infection which is making me feel a bit blah but I just want to curl up under my duvet and hide.

Also I've been having crazy dreams - one about salmon spawning in a waterfall in a shopping centre and one about a blue horse with the same name as my childhood budgie who was also blue.

  • Yay for it turning up angeltreats!

I'm on 2ww but next time I'm due to ov we will be on holiday sharing an apartment with the in laws... Can't imagine we will have much luck next month....

    I'm told I'm being grumpy today - I don't agree lol!

You know what, I don't even know what it's supposed to do. Someone (maybe TeamLowe) got her BFP the month she started taking it, so a few of us rushed straight to Amazon and bought it immediately just in case it helped.

    The things we do :o

I got my bfp the first month of using it but whether it was a coincidence of course ill never know :)

Can I ask if you were taking the one from amazon and how many a day you were taking?

Hello ladies - I'm hoping to join you soon.

Forgive me if I'm being insensitive, 6 weeks ago I lost twins at 22 weeks into my pregnancy. I'm waiting for my cycles to sort themselves out now and hope to try again as soon as they have.

I'm trying to put a plan together for when they do, but am struggling to remember what I did last time we were TTC. So far I have:
    - buy cheap ovulation sticks to get an idea of the best time
    - take folic acid and pre-natal vitamins
    - eat healthily and get my weight down as much as possible
    - have acupuncture (it seemed to have an effect last time)

Is there anything else I should get/be thinking about doing? And is there anything I can try to get my hormones under control again so we can TTC asap? I'm in my late 30s and don't want to wait too long before trying again.

I realise that there's no magic formula (if only) but I just want to give this my best shot.

    Thanks
  • Oh Betty. Don't apologise to us! So sorry to hear your news. Not much I can say other than that without sounding trite and rubbish. We're here for you if you need us!

I think your TTC start-up list is pretty comprehensive for now. Loads of us take millions of different supplements such as agnus castus (regulates period) and inositol (regulates ov/ periods/ good for PCOS- I think TL posted a link about it a few pages back) but I wouldn't have a clue if they were suitable for you at the moment with your cycles still settling down. Too many supplements might have the opposite effect if your body is still recovering.

    So sorry...xxx

sweaty betty you have nothing to apologise for at all, I was so sad to hear your news (I regularly "stalk" the other threads for news of our graduates) but you seem to have handled everything with such dignity I am in awe of your bravery xx

Your list seems pretty comprehensive so I think you've got it covered for now and I hope in the nicest possible way you aren't with us for too much longer x
