Welcome Carrot - you'll pick it all up soon!

Gelly - no helpful suggestions I'm afraid

Part Mouse - how soon will you get the injections?

One of my best friends has just emailed me to say she found at she was pregnant last night - it was their first cycle trying and she is 36 and has PCOS and other health issues so I wasn't expecting it to be so quick. She doesn't know we are TTC yet. Am trying to be really happy for her, but sat here feeling awful at the moment and then feeling worse I am a bad person :(

Becs, you're definitely not a bad person! I'm pretty sure we've all had moments like that. Just because you want a go too, doesn't mean you're not happy for your friend.

I'm jealous of someone I know who's going through IVF at the moment, that's just messed up lol.

CD50 for me - I just don't know what's going on - can anyone advise? Why are my cycles getting longer every month? Anything I can do to regulate them? I was sure I'd be pregnant by now, I'm not stressing over it, but I just don't get it :(
    C xx

Ctw and pommevert - is it special acupuncture? As in are they offering special treatment for fertility?

I wouldn't mind finding one in Northampton x

Mine was just a normal acupunturist, and i paid the standard rate for a consultation with a doctor over here in france (23 euros). I had a discussion of about 10 mins where i told him about the problems we'd been having, then the actual session lasted about 25 mins. I was in a room with 2 other people who both had 3 needles in them, i only had one, aparently because it was my first time !

I've done it for a while. Costs me £23 per session, which takes a full hour. About 10 or so needles in your back and neck, then leave me there for a while (maybe 25 minutes) for a 'rest'. Then remove and turn over, for a few, maybe 15, in the tummy, legs, feet, arm and head. Then 'rest' for another 20 minutes or so. Sometimes with a heatlamp over my tummy.

She tells me that back ones are for relaxation and stress, and the front ones are fertility treatment. I got really excellent results on my IVF, which was unexpected with very low AMH, and while I don't know if the acupuncture helped, I'm definitely doing it again if we do another IVF. As I will have a very high miscarriage risk, the doctor has said WHEN I get pregnant, she will help with that too.

I actually think it's really nice just to have someone every week to talk to about TTC - who wants to listen. She asks how my cycle is, how I'm feeling, and gives a positive pep talk each week. If nothing else, that helps! Having someone talking about when you will get pregnant, not if, is nice. Even if not realistic.

I'm also doing medicine with her, but I feel a bit crazy while doing that. But, it helped to resolve my never ending period, and doesn't seem to do any harm. They are horrible to take though, and a pain to prepare.

Skint - I am exactly the same. cd40 now, and every month it seems to get longer, although last month I got AF on cd34.

Reasons why I am not worrying about this:

    1. I only came off the pill in December so perhaps my cycle is still messed up.
    2. I have just bought a CBFM which I will be using next month to work out what is going on and when is the best time. Internet cheapy OPKs don't seem to work on me at all.
    3. Worrying about when AF will arrive may be preventing it from arriving.
