Thanks for advise. At the moment I'm every month since coming off the pill just not every 28 days. If I'm irregular does it mean i won't fall pregnant or does it just make it harder?

Trying not to stress before the wedding.

If you learn how to tell when ovulation is coming then it wont make it harder and definitely doesn't mean you wont get pregnant. :)

The bit that is likely to stay consistent in your cycle is the luteal phase - the 10-16 days before your period comes.

For example, my luteal phase is pretty much always 13 days. But ovulation can be anywhere for me! Earliest was cd19 and I think latest cd39! But generally around cd 20ish recently.

But I know that my period will always come 13 days later.

    Thanks Claire.

I have some ovulation sticks and on the info pack according to my last period I should start testing tomorrow. I did one yesterday and there were not 2 bright lines just one and a faint one.

We BD every other night so hoping this is enough lol. Can't believe we've spent years trying not to get pregnant and now desperate to fall.

I'm slowly working my way through the thread to learn how it all works.

My hubbie seemed ok with the SA in the end. We ended up having quite an amusing conversation about NHS vs Private SA's. For the private one, he had to pay £100... he said 'for £100, normally you get someone to come and help'. ;)

I had a similar chat with my hubby, he insists he'll only get one done privately and I had to ask him why. He didn't really have a good answer (think it might be yet another stalling technique) but it did go through my mind that he was expecting a better "service" privately lol!

    Good evening all.
Thinking of you PM. Hope you're ok.
Many congrats to Sijou and Lannie. Hope you have a smooth nine months.
Hope you're feeling better Tink. :-)
Starting to get impatient to start trying now, although it's a bit hot to BD just now. Lol. X

Hey part mouse sorry you're having such a rubbish time. I'm on my first month of inositol too, and I've started accupuncture. Who knows if it will help but I think I feel like I need to be trying everything, just to see! So never give up hope, you just never know....

Code in terms of bloods, as it takes at least 10 DAYS to get an appointment for bloods ay my GP, I booked 4 appointments and cancelled them as I went along, waiting for ovulation!!!

Congrats sjlou I hope you have a happy and healthy nine months.

Welcome newbies, this is the best place for all sorts of advice.

I think I'm in the 2ww but have had the wierdest cycle ever so have written it off already. Have been referred to fs this week, so just waiting for apps. Argh!

Welcome Paula & Disney  It's funny as I was thinking this morning that we need a few newbies! I hope that your stays here are short and sweet and that you get your BFPs very soon! X

Code - great news that you have kicked off investigations. What did you say to your doctor and were they helpful/supportive? X

PartMouse - Big hugs! Can't add much more to what the other lovely ladies have said but just want to let you know that I am sending positive wishes your way xxx

Cwtw - ooh! I was thinking of trying acupuncture! How are you finding it? Can I be cheeky and ask what it costs please? I appreciate there will be regional differences but I don't even have a ballpark idea!

LemonTree - I'd definitely test at 11dpo but agree with Claire that 12dpo should be accurate from what I've read online. Good luck! X

Faith - yay for OV! Get off the computer and drag your oh to bed! Although its pretty hot ATM so I hope it cools down by the time I get my peak as not sure we'll manage if its this hot!!

I'm glad it's not just my husband who is being a pain about the whole SA thing. I think he is worried about it so is putting it off. It's so annoying because I can't have any more tests until we have his SA.

So, I've applied for a new job today. I've been holding off as my current mat package is so good cos of my long service but as my job will be relocated to 40 miles away in 18 months time I've decided to go for this new one now even if it means losing potential mat benefits. Not sure if its the right decision but I've gone for it anyway! I figure that I won't want a 40 mile commute if I'm pregnant or have a baby so maybe now is a good time to move. Although I'm anything but convinced! :o

I just went in and opened with "I'm having a bit of trouble getting pregnant."

I think I'm probably not this GPs first fertility challenged patient as he said "you probably know more about this than me" and proceeded to explain the CD21 blood test badly and then I corrected him :rotfl:

For those of you on inositol, I've found this:

I had to buy a powder as I am terrible swallowing tablets. I think that stuff might be the more expensive kind looks a good price!

God how hard can it be to explain? At least he wasn't like the previous guy you had I guess!!

I think I read somewhere that its an ingredient in buckweed farinetta and you can make muffins out of it!! That sounds like more fun than pills or powder.
