    Welcome newbies!

Disney - I've learnt it can take months and months (if not over a year) for your body to settle down after being on the pill so don't be surprised if it continues to be irregular for some time.

Code - it's good they are finally looking into things for you. What are the next steps other than SA for OH?

Pfff, he can be quiet all he likes, all he has to do is fill cup, we have to have HSGs and get spiked with needles! *shakes fist angrily* I keep suggesting OH needs more tests....

got general blood tests for rubella, thyroid, prolactin etc next week, then cd21 (or cd121) bloods. How does one go about booking cd21 bloods with irregular ovulation?

    Congratulations sjlou

Code - Sorry to hear your hubbys not being too good about getting a SA done, mines the same, you'd honestly think I was asking him to cut his own leg off not "do it" in a jar! I will win this battle though, hope your hubby gets on with it soon.

TTC is stressing me out again at moment, one of my best friends put their scan photos and an "its a girl" announcement on FB yesterday and I said to hubby "when will it be our turn" and he said "it might be now for all we know" and i literally shouted at him that it won't be and we both know that (I added a few swear words into the sentence too) poor hubby.

I'm pretty sure I'm on 1DPO as had loads of CM on Sunday.

is 11 DPO too early to test? I'm on CD28 which was when AF arrived last month, but by the same token last month was my first time after the coil had been removed, and i'm worried that I will have gone back to my old cycle of it not arriving for 3 months and stopping around for 10 months.

My hubbie seemed ok with the SA in the end. We ended up having quite an amusing conversation about NHS vs Private SA's. For the private one, he had to pay £100... he said 'for £100, normally you get someone to come and help'. ;)

Thanks for advise. At the moment I'm every month since coming off the pill just not every 28 days. If I'm irregular does it mean i won't fall pregnant or does it just make it harder?

Trying not to stress before the wedding.

    Hi Everyone,

I'm nervous writing this. I came off the pill back in April and now we have decided to start trying. We get married in 7 weeks so have decided we may as well start now. I've got it in my head its going to take years. I'm 26 and neither of us have children (been together since we were 17).

Just a word of warning if you are lucky and get pregnant very quickly, I hope you don't get bad morning sickness, personally Id wait until you have 4 weeks to go, just to be on the safe side! :)

Few questions if anyone can help?

I used to take my pill back to back for 3 months, first period was after 43 days, then next one was 35 days, then 34 days. Will I even be ovulating properly as I've only been off pill for 4 months? Also when am I likely to be ovulating?

If youre having periods then youre probably ovulating yes, and most likely around 14 days before ovulation, but it could be 10-16 days before. Now obviously Im guessing youre not a mind reader :)so youll need to track ovulation with various methods if you want to know when. If you do do that, you will also then know when you expect your period. Lots of us on here have irregular cycles! The Fertility friend website has some good information but main ways of knowing are, checking cervical mucus, peeing on ovulation sticks and then taking your temperature to confirm it.

I probably sound stupid with these questions, but its trying to take it all in.

    Thanks everyone.

I just rang up as soon as Id ovulated and asked to book a test in 7 days time, I think I was on cd40 odd. Which was actually 8 or 9dpo because of a bank holiday but I think as long as you get it around 6-9dpo it should be fine.

The statistics on Fertility Friend suggest that at 12dpo its likely to be accurate.
