cd37, and I have been getting a little bit of cramping for the past 5 days, but no spotting or any other signs. BFN this morning. My cycle seems to get 2 days longer each month which can't be right? I'm thinking about going to the doctors and telling a fib about how long we've been trying. Is this MENTAL/WRONG?

I bought a CBFM off ebay for £40 at the weekend, so I'll get going with that when it arrived.

Temping doesn't seem to work with me - my hayfever is awful so I always sleep with my mouth open, plus I'm always hot and bothered at night time.

Miskate how long have you been trying? Have you been tracking ov?
  • Hi all.

Hope everyone is well, havent been around as there isnt really anything to report and spending lots of time in the gym and swimming pool trying to shift some weight to see if that helps! It is helping though so cant complain :D Only another 5-8 BMI points to lose and then they'll think about Clomid.

AF is imminent after 2 months mia and I'm actually quite glad as it means we can get the tests done at the hospital. Although as its a chemically induced withdrawal bleed I'm not sure it actually counts as AF, its also the opportunity to get my thyroid tested again as I'm still not sure I am on the right dosage.

Sorry for dashing I will come back and read everybodies posts a bit more in detail but I'm off to the gym!

Claire - I've been off the pill since January, and have been tracking ov since then.
    January - normal.
February - 7 days late, but put down to cycle regulating due to being on the pill for so long beforehand.
    March - 16 (!) days late.
    April - 2 days late
    May - 3 days late
    June - 4 days late

Until April we were just NTNP, and May was the 1st month we tried officially.

Miskate - I wouldn't worry yet. I came off the pill end if sept. My periods have now ranged from 26-31 days. The last 2 months were 31, so hopedully evened out. So took my body about 6 months to "right" itself.

Afm, its now cd34, after getting the bfn yday I'm holding out till tomorrow ro teat again. Maybe I ov'd later this month? Keeping fingers crossed!
 Mini me due March 2014

    Thanks sjlou.
I'm being influenced by the apparently millions of people I know who got pg the very first month.

miskate - I wouldn't worry just yet. It can take up to a year for the pill to come out of your system. When you say your cycle is late, do you mean your lp (after ovulation) is extending or are you basing it on average cycle length? It's normal for your follicular phase to fluctuate a bit and I don't think many women are as regular as the medical profession would have us believe so as long as you are actually ovulating and your lp is within the average then nothing to worry about.

Have decided to go to the doctors tomorrow and work from home afterwards in case I get upset. I have no idea what to say in a way that will make them pay attention. I don't think "my ovaries are stuck in warming up mode" is really going to work and the last thing I want is for the doctor to be dismissive. I also don't want to go in there and burst into tears immediately because the last time I did that the poor doctor looked really worried, offered to prescribe anti depressants and wanted to call me a taxi. I also don't want an assault charge when I beat the doctor up for saying "it's just the way you are". Any ideas how to approach this? What did you ladies who have successfully got help say?

Massive hugs for the CD1s and BFNs. Both should be banned. And fingers crossed for the 2wwers.

I'm not sure on my lp as I've had no clear signs of ovulation from either OPKs or temping. I'm hoping the CBFM will help me out on this front.

I had a very interesting chat with my best friend this weekend re TTc. She has a 3 year old that she fell accidentally pg with - she was not taking the pill correctly. I had held out on telling her we were TTC because I don't want to answer questions every month, and my husband asked me not to tell anyone (same reasons for him, plus he is very private). So we talked it through and I explained to her the whole concept of ovulation and EWCM.

She was flabbergasted. I genuinely think our chat will prevent her from having another accident!
