Monring Ladies, thanks for the welcomes!

Can I pick the brains of the PCOS ladies please.

I've always thought I have PCOS due to acne, hair issues (excess body/thin on top) and infrequent periods. I've been on Dianette then Yasmin for about 12 years and these really helped with some of the symptoms.

I waw the Dr in April after stopping the pill to TTC, she gave me Zineryt and referred me for blood tests after 3 months, actual date is 22/7.

Since April I've put on nearly a stone, have oily skin and hair and no AF (not that its stopping me testing......) I've read some of you take supplements and wondered if I should try them - or do nothing until these tests.

Sorry for the length of the post, when you pop you really cant stop!!

Thank you, I read the instructions (at 6am this morning!) and it said if I buy a new box I can still use the test holder from the old box

CD13 and got a high again this morning, so 4 days of high and no peak yet
    x

I bought 20 sticks as I think it was the same price as the box of ten so I better not run out! :)

I'm on day 3 of highs. And expecting quite a few more. DH is away at the weekend so I'm already worrying about that so we've made a plan to bd just before he goes away in the morning but I hope I don't get my peak on Saturday!

Are you using the fancy clearblue monitor or the digital clearblue ovulation kit? (with the test holder stick and 10 tests in a box)

The digital ovulation kit with the small test holder :) but I got 20 sticks with mine.

Its £21.59 for 20 sticks on amazon

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Clearblue-Advanced-Digital-Ovulation-Test--Pack/dp/B00BSNL77I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372855417&sr=8-1&keywords=clear+blue+advanced+ovulation

I don't think they sell the 10 pack on Amazon, but its in Boots

    http://www.boots.com/en/Clearblue-Digital-Ovulation-Test-with-Dual-Hormone-Indicator_1317208/

its £21.59 - and that's with a 20% offer on right now, normally its 26.99! So the same price as 20 on Amazon even with an offer on, normally it would cost more!

    Hi everyone

Haven't been on for few days (or read back yet, as I'm on my phone) so hope everyone's ok?

Had my docs appointment on Monday and he was pretty useless, as I've now had AF he just put it down to a missed month, but he did agree I looked very bloated so is arranging for me to have a scan - apparently as its non urgent the appointment will take a while.

I've got week off work this week, but have come down with a stinking cold so have spent most of it feeling sorry for myself - great.

So back from the hospital and the results of the probe are that I am ovulating but I may have a polyps so I am going to now wait till I can have a hysteroscopy - a camera inside of me. Then after that I may have IVF. She said Clomid won't help me as I already ovulate. So 9 months of investigation later I still don't know why I can't get pregnant. Great!!!

Hi all. I hope everyone is well! :D

Me and my partner went off to the fertility clinic on Monday and it went really well. I couldnt start any fertility treatments like Clomid as I am way overweight, I do have a BMI of 45 and a very misbehaving thyroid. Usually they like people to have a BMI of around 30-35 but because of my age, I'm 40, they will consider it seriously once my BMI gets under 40.

Meanwhile they are going to make sure everything is ok, as AF hasnt visited for nearly 70 days I have a course of Provera then off to have my bloods checked on Day 2 and 21. They are re-checking my thyroid as he considers my dosage way too low. I also have to have an ultra-sound and that thing that no-one can pronounce, the HSG test. Then if anything shows up there they start to treat it.

He personally thinks that if I lose weight and get my thyroid sorted, the level should be 5 and under apparently mine is 22 and I've only been taking meds for it for 2 weeks, that theres a good chance we will get pregnant naturally.

benhope Definitly go, I was expecting to be told to go away and come back when I was thinner but it wasnt the case at all, they couldnt have been more helpful.

Yeah I don't see the point as this measures the same stuff as the monitor I actually find it quite odd they've invented something which makes their own monitor a bit redundant?

The only difference I can see is that the sticks are supposed to give 2 days of highs before the peak & the monitor 4, but I can't see how that would work as the sticks are measuring the same hormones & secondly it seems they don't differ as we've discovered we're getting more than 2 highs anyway!

    Sorry to hear that skaps.

If you already ovulate what problems does a polyps cause?
