Chelsea - never used the clearblue tests so not sure. Does the holder show the results or is it just to stop you getting wee on your hand?
Hmmm tmi alert - huge glob of ewcm. Officially no idea what my body is doing and would like a new one please.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Chelsea if you buy a new box I think you can do either. Use the current holder or just start on a new one I can't see what difference it would make.
I think it says on the instruction leaflet though.
Code I remember I got ewcm & thought wow ov is finally coming so we bd like 3 times or something - and then my temp crashed & AF came. Weirdest cycle ever!
I'm hoping this one will be more normal!0 -
evening ladies,

Hello All
Well cd11 for me today, no ewcm so far altho phone app reckons fertile days should be cd9 to cd14.
It thinks last mths fertile days were cd6 to cd11 tho so dtd cd6/7 & 9 so far this month and will convince hubby to keep at it every 2nd day till say perhaps cd16/17 or so..... Does that seem like it should give us a fair chance?? If we can keep up mind you...
Hope everyone is well xxBaby on board - EDD 29th Sept0 -

I did read some sites that suggested that some people get more than one bout of EWCM during the month, and you can't tell which you're ovulating with.
Oh great! I don;t need any more complications! Gah!clearing_out_my_pockets wrote: »*Unlurks*
I got to 30 before I had my first BFP / pregnancy scare. My good friend got to 33 before she had a scare too (despite never using contraception with her husband of five years). You were probably just using contraception properly which reduces the failure rate!
*relurks*
I was over 30 before I first got pregnant and had never had any kind of scare, but have been pregnant six times in the last five years so am definitely fertile.

Morning Ladies,
I've been lurking for a while now and I want to ask you guys if any of you can advise me?
My DH and I have an appointment with a fertility clinic later this month. We've been trying about 15 months and I'm 41.
Thing is, I've really overweight and I noticed that the letter says they won't treat anyone whos BMI is above 35, which mine is.
Do you think I should postpone the meeting and re-arrange for a couple of month time and diet for Britain or go anyway????
Ta
Ditto what BZ has said, go anyway. You might want to try googling fertility support and your health authority. I did this before going to GP so I knew there was little NHS support available. I was 40 with BMI of 35. Our GP did ov tests & semen analysis but that was it. I then went private.
Luckily I got pg when on Clomid - tests showed my tubes were blocked so I had surgery to unblock first. However even privately IVF wasn't an option if BMI was over 35.
Good luck.0 -
Finally home! I've updated everyone who needed updating to this point.
Our shower still isn't sealed, so I had to don the swim suit and take a bath/shower out in the garden! Bit chilled, but at least now I'm cleaner and my hair is clean.0 -
There's also maternity allowance which is based (I think) on your ni contributions for the past two financial years, so even if you don't qualify for smp you should be able to get that
Just to correct, MA is based on earnings and number of weeks in employment unless you are self employed inwhich case your NI conts are used.
Broadly speaking, to qualify you need to have worked for 26 weeks out of the 66 weeks that make up your qualifying period and have earned more than £30 a week for any 13 of those 26 weeks.
If you are self employed and have paid your NI conts you are automatically paid the highest rate (£137ish?).
Hope that helps14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -

Just be aware that apps only work on averages so if your cycle is anything but very regular it won't always be accurate.
Use it as a guide but its better to check cervical mucus but you're doing that so you should catch it. Cd6 is very early unless you have short cycles.
So doing it every second day sounds like a good idea. How long are your cycles normally?0
